Said it before, will say it again: right before KJ's fumble, nearly all the UGA fans I know were pissing their pants about the game's outcome....flash forward a couple of weeks, and suddenly a bunch of nutsacks are coming out of the woodwork, saying UGA blew AU out of the stadium, and they'll thump any team in the country.
Not saying they can't win next week, but if they truly believe a similar performance against a healthy Oklahoma is gonna yield a W, then shite could get embarrassing....perhaps they don't exist on this board, but at least the level-headed UGA fans I know are fully aware of that...

Come on now...surely you know enough to know a penalty wipes away a play.
We both know it was 4th and 9 on the au 31. A penalty doesn't change that.

I personally didn’t buy the Auburn hype going into the first game. Auburn played Clemson close in a loss on the beginning of the season, and I really wasn’t impressed by either team. Then Auburn played Mercer and looked HORRIBLE. Then Auburn blew a big lead to LSU, who lost to Troy.
But I’ll admit again, Auburn turned things around and EMBARRASSED UGA in Auburn. Auburn played a great game and I think could’ve/ would’ve beaten any team in the country that night. I however don’t think UGA was as bad as the first game indicated and I don’t think Auburn was that good. Whatever the reason, Auburn had home field advantage, back against the wall chip on their shoulder; UGA could have equally bought into the #1 hype, not been focused, etc. Whatever, Auburn beat the “dawg shite” out of UGA. Then auburn plays an injury plagued Bama and beat them. I’m not sure many teams would make much of a game with so many guys out like Bama did, but credit Auburn again, they won.
My problem is Auburn won two games to get them in a position to redeem the first half of the season and punch their ticket to the playoffs and they blew it. Maybe getting the “dawg shite” kicked out UGA woke them up and brought them back to reality.
But here we are, Auburn blaming injuries, schedules, etc for their short comings. If Auburn was really a great team, the team that beat UGA and Bama, the rematch against UGA should have been a cake walk since UGA is such an inferior team. The last 10 years show Auburn has one decent/good season followed by let down seasons.
UGA may get beat, hell may get steamrolled by Oklahoma or Clemson/ Bama, but UGA won the one they needed to to get to the dance. So don’t get out the Rant and talk about how great Auburn is or has been. Auburn won a National Championship in 2010. Great. But look at the other seasons. Hell Auburn has beat UGA 3 out of the last 13 times. Auburn hasn’t beat UGA in Athens but 2 times in Athens, the last time being 2005. Every fan base has sidewalk fans.

As soon as the refs incorrectly removed 4 points from the scoreboard, amongst other awful calls, we knew we were gonna have to overcome the refs as well. That added to any anxiety a uga facebook fan may have had. Thankfully we were just that much better on that day

Well if a 3 touchdown victory with almost 200 more total yards isn’t blowing someone out then we must have very different definitions of that phrase.

And LSU gets Florida. Did you all just realize the injustice?

Actually by the rules of football it does. No different than Auburn giving uga extra downs, thankfully Auburn forced a 2nd 3 and out.

For the sake of the topic of discussion, a punt was forced on 4th and 9 at the 31 yard line. On this 4th down, UGA had a 15 yard penalty, thus giving AU a first down on the 46 yard line. There isnt an example of this happening the other way around.

Its reasonable to whine about what happened to UGA on that play. Bad calls deserve scorn.

Ironically, if Stidham hasn't fumbled when we were about to go up 14-0, UGA probably would have quit and gotten blown out again in the SECCG.
But on this day, unlike the 1st game, our pass rush stepped up and made a huge play. After the forced fumble, the game was a blowout.

I remember Auburn’s 2013 season. I was counting it as one of the good seasons.
AU UGA
07-9-4 11-2 @UGA AU: 20 UGA: 45
08-5-7 10-3 @ AU AU: 13 UGA: 17
09-8-5 8-5 @UGA AU: 24 UGA: 31
10-14-0 6-7 @ AU AU: 49 UGA: 31
11-8-5 10-4 @ UGA AU: 7 UGA: 45
12-3-9 12-2 @ AU AU: 0 UGA: 38
13-12-2 8-5 @ AU AU: 43 UGA: 38
14-8-5 10-3 @ UGA AU: 7 UGA: 34
15-7-6 10-3 @ AU AU: 13 UGA: 20
16-8-5 8-5 @ UGA AU:7 UGA: 13
17- @ AU: AU: 40 UGA: 17
@SECCG AU: 7 UGA: 28
That said, Auburn has had a couple good years. Other than that, I don’t get all the talk about being so dominant over or more worthy of anything than UGA.

They were about to get rid of the cross division rival but Bama made a big deal about it and got super huffy puffy. This occurred right as Fulmer was being pushed out.

“Right as Fulmer was being pushed out” would mean Bama was fighting to keep playing UT during a time UT had won like 8 of the last 10 against Bama. Kinda crushes the whole “Bama just wants to play them bc they suck” argument, huh

This spot on! Tim Tebow kept trying to act like Auburn gave the game away by fumbling. Marcus Spears kept telling him that no AU didn't give it away, UGA took it away. UGA forced that fumble to turn around the game. That's what great teams do when they need too

Yeah maybe if that were true. Bama had won the last 4 of 7. Tenn was also going 5-6, 9-4, 10-4, and then 5-7. This is strictly Saban era. It was within the first two seasons of Saban. Now gtfo bring me someone else. I don't expect some child to know.

You forgot 2006. What an unexpected beatdown that was.

I just went with the last 10 years. But yeah, for a series that’s been so one sided lately, it amazes me what winning ONE game does to Auburn.
