The problem with Alabama last year

We were soft.

Who have they played is one of my favorite lines. Same line different year. When you're better than everyone you play it's more of a slam on the rest of the teams rather than on us.

Then why do you constantly brag about the past 4 matchups with A&M?
Do you honestly not understand the difference between being boastful of accomplishments and using past occurrences as an indicator of future performance? That's sad.

Unfortunate for LSU.
You're right. It is unfortunate that we'll be bombarded with excuses from bama after the game. Not looking forward to that part, at all.

It's going to be hilarious when Dobbs, Hurd and Kamara clowns Alabama's vaunted front 7

Forgot about Landon Collins but be wasn't stopping him on that run , not fast enough. Zeke has elite top-end speed that isn't far off from LF7's. For us, it will be a question of whether or not he and Guice can get to the outside and whether or not he can break a couple of big runs. It's definitely possible. Michel seemed to have some success getting to the edge, and Zeke obviously did, so it will be fun to watch. Going to be a dogfight. One of the better rushing attacks of all time versus one of the better rush defenses.

The only excuses will be the ones explaining why Fournette still deserves the Heisman after getting shut down by Alabama.

Agreed, I am just entertaining shite-eater's musings.

Yep, I think he got outside once for a good gain.

Are you really nitpicking on that?

This defensive line is better than the one in 2011, but the overall front seven in 2011 was better.

Thus, the 2011 team was likely better against the run. However, that 2011 team also had a much better secondary than the 2015 Alabama team, so the linebackers could focus more on stopping the run.

Well the premise was that someone had success on the edge, but it was nitpicking. Good luck.

I would go even further. I am old and have seen and covered a lot of rush defenses.

I would rate it second all-time to Oklahoma when the Siiners had the Selmon brothers.

Bama is doing it with sheer numbers. That many quality rush defenders is something I have never seen before.

He broke off a couple of nice runs for first downs and all seemed to be on the edge is all I'm saying. Didn't say he went Reggie Bush on yall.

I believe, not positive, that one may have been a bubble screen. I'll go back and watch tonight. We are much improved sideline to sideline with this group.

That front 7 is bad to the bone this year. Makes the rest of the D more effective when you hammer 'em in the trenches.

His 2003 defense at LSU gave up an average of 67 ypg on the ground over 14 games (total of 5 rushing TD's allowed). They held Caddy Williams and Ronnie Brown to 50 yds total.

And Upshaw. Still mindboggling the LB talent on that team.
