Nike does not own the logo. That was a myth thrown out by our old AD as cover to why they could not continue to use it
Cohen did that? Bet y'all were glad to ditch him. Dude seems extra shady/creepy from everything I've heard.

They should. The new AD would win a lot of fans very quick if they did. I feel like merchandise would see a big bump. It’s so much nicer than what they have now
What was holding State back? Maybe it was the former AD? Good to see State making the change for the better.

Hopefully.
The other looks busy and if you're not familiar with State your not even sure what your looking at unless it's up close

It was Templeton who said we couldn't go back to it because of Nike.
The Nike/Jackie Sherrill thing was serious beef. Nike was starting to go big into college football and Oregon was their test canvas. Nike engineered a jersey for Oregon that would hook to a hose and become hydrated. Oregon was opening their season at MSU and this was supposed to help with the heat and humidity.
Sherrill demanded that Nike supply MSU with the system and they said eat shite. The next season we wore Russell with the M-State banner logo on it. It was modernized in 2009 to look a little better and has been tweaked here and there. Some variation of the M-State logo has been in place since 1995 for basketball and since 2004 for all sports.
Greg Byrne's new M-State was rumored to be on a baseball cap but there was a fan revolt when it was mentioned, so the M over S baseball logo has remained the primary standard for baseball.
A couple weeks ago, someone on a message board said the interlocking MSU was being discussed. Then the swim trunks on the official MSU store. When it was linked, the swim trunks were removed.

So why can’t we use it?

As it should have.
M over S is iconic. It’s the only type of MSU related ball caps I will wear I hate the ones with M State on them

The administration has always acted strange about that logo. Bet one of the schools that are using the interlocking MSU are paying us big money to not use it or some shite.
