Not overrated at all, top to bottom the SEC has been one of the top 2-3 conferences in baseball for the past decade at least. Baseball is not football or basketball, things happen, teams get streaky and teams go into slumps. It happens at every level of the game, always has and always will.

No they are not....in the case of Stony Brook at least they ran into a team that decided to play well below its potential......then when they get to real comp they get roasted.
Kent St. I can't really speak to but they did play a helluva game against UF today.....but they got roasted by Arkansas (who I still say might win this thing)......I think its just one of those freak things that happened to UF today.

Stony Brook had 7 players drafted.. not a slouch.
Baseball is all about match-ups. KSU matched up well against UF and they got the better of them. In a series of 7 I think UF would win in 5 or 6 games.

I was referring to this year. I know that overall is a great baseball conference. I guess we can chalk this one up to a down year.

IMO Kent State isnt a fluke at all. This is a great and proud baseball program. Listen, in the state of Ohio, all the talent goes to Kent State. Kent State is essentially everything Ohio State should be. Kent State just doesnt get the national respect that they quite frankly deserve! Kent State has been knocking at this door for quite a long time! They are capable of shocking this field. Remember, this is the team that went into the Texas regional last year and beat Texas and Texas St before falling to Texas twice. This team isnt intimidated. This game will continue to give them confidence. You could be looking at the best program in the Midwest!

Anybody can win when it comes to baseball, so it's tougher robe dominant every year. A smaller can have a dominant pitcher and beat any team in the country.

Baseball was made for the like of Universities and College that have shitty football programs and make up for them in Baseball. i.e. MSU, OM, Kentucky, Arky(somewhat), Vandy, Florida(as of right now). Tenn? well tenn sucks at every sport.
