Someone remind me why UNLV and some others aren't joining the revamped Pac 12:

Boise State
Colorado State
Fresno State
Gonzaga
Oregon State
San Diego State
Texas State
Utah State
Washington State

At what point are Cal and Stanford going to realize being in the ACC isn’t sustainable and that rejoining the PAC is the better move??? Why do they think they’re above these schools on the field????? Rejoining the PAC is better for both schools on the field AND make the new conference just that much better.

Cal
Stanford
Oregon St
Washington St
Colorado St
Utah St
Texas St
Boise St
San Diego St
Fresno St

Rick Carlisle vs Jim Carey

1. Vance
2. Rubio
3. Gabbard
4. Donalds (dark horse)
SEC North:

Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Missouri
Kansas
Kentucky
West Virginia
Virginia Tech
NC State

SEC South:

Alabama
Georgia
Ga Tech
Florida
Clemson
S Carolina
Auburn
Mississippi St

SEC West:

Ole Miss
LSU
Arkansas
Texas
Texas AM
Texas Tech
Oklahoma
Ok St

B1G & SEC…both at 24 schools.

This brings me back to my OP…in THIS hypothetical…

B1G East:

Penn St
Rutgers
Maryland
Virginia
North Carolina
Duke
Florida St
Miami

B1G Central:

Ohio St
Indiana
Michigan
Notre Dame
Illinois
Michigan St
Purdue
Northwestern

B1G West:

Oregon
USC
UCLA
Washington
Iowa
Nebraska
Minnesota
Wisconsin

I can see this coming from a mile away!!! The B1G new media deal with CBS, Fox and NBC has a built in escalator that allows for future expansion. It’s literally built into the contract.
B1G (18 members) will add 6 more schools to get to 24.
SEC (16 members) will add 8 schools to get to 24.

CFP Top 48

B1G Additions - Notre Dame, Virginia, North Carolina, Duke, Florida St & Miami

SEC Additions - Clemson, Ga Tech, NC State, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Kansas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St.

I believe this will happen in the next 5-10 years. Clemson and Florida St want out of the ACC like yesterday. Next round is coming soon.
What is so much better about the new PAC???? That conference is gonna be a glorified MWC..
That’s not true at all. The powers that be aren’t done with realignment yet. The ACC/Big 12 are next up for destruction. frick…what don’t y’all understand about the word HYPOTHETICAL!!!!!
You didn’t read…at all!!! I said in a situation where the B1G and SEC poach the ACC…AND Big 12. If the SEC were to poach Texas Tech, Kansas etc in the next round…would the Big 12 really be that much better than this conference???. Be honest…
In a hypothetical situation where the B1G and SEC poach the ACC and Big 12…could we ever see a conference like this form?? I think this conference would be on par with the remaining Big 12, PAC, AAC, MWC, SBC…

AMERICAN METRO CONFERENCE:

East:

Cincinnati (7-2)
Louisville (7-2)
Pittsburgh (7-2)
Buffalo (5-4)
Toledo (5-4)
Syracuse (3-7)
Boston College (1-9)

West:

Memphis (8-2)
Houston (8-2)
San Diego St (7-2)
Boise St (6-3)
Fresno St (6-3)
San Jose St (3-6)
Tulsa (2-7)

Good quality football programs with a lot of recent success. Parity. There would be some great natural regional rivalries. If the dominos fall just right in the next round of conference realignment…could this work?

Two Super Conferences are coming. It’s Inevitable. The Media Networks are driving this. B1G and SEC with 24 teams each. I could see it being branded as the “CFP Top 48”. ACC gets purged by the B1G and SEC.

B1G East

Rutgers

North Carolina
Florida St

B1G Central

The SEC expands its footprint North and West:

SEC North:

Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
West Virginia
Virginia Tech
NC State
Duke

SEC East

Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Georgia Tech
Clemson
South Carolina
Mississippi St

SEC West

Oklahoma St

I’ve always been curious…in the scenarios two super conferences form…I’d love to see a conference like this form…all city named schools.

Metro East

Boston College
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Louisville
Syracuse
Buffalo
Toledo

Metro West:

Houston
Memphis
San Diego St
Boise St
Fresno St
San Jose St
Tulsa

I cannot fathom how the Browns have 2 wins…truly!!! I watch my Brownies every week and it’s just a masterclass of ineptitude!!!! I will NEVER forgive them for letting Baler Mayfield walk. I can’t wait for the Brook Park Browns. Burn everything down with the Cleveland Browns. That franchise is and has been dead since they left for Baltimore. Get off the lake. Build a new stadium in a new city. Start completely the frick over!!!!!!!!!
This guy literally cost Ohio St the National Championship against Clemson. He made two inexplicably suspect calls that gave the game to Clemson. frick him!!!
First off…it’s the B1G…second, no way is Penn State a top 3 team. Top 10 for sure, but not too 3…

Browns defense held the Ravens in check. Turnover killed the Browns in that game. Stefanski needs to get the playcalling in order. The Browns Defense is elite.
You may be right…Fickell is toast!!! Classic case of grass not being greener on the other side. He should’ve just stayed at Cincinnati. The recruiting and potential was there for Cincinnati.
Baker came into an 0-16 franchise and led them to an 11-5 season and a playoff win AT Pittsburgh…..nahhhhh we just couldn’t be happy with that!!!! Taking Cleveland into Pittsburgh and whooping their arse in the playoffs is one of the most impressive turnarounds in pro sports. The Browns get everything they deserve…and this is coming from a diehard Browns fan. Truly mind blowing.
