Are those chairback seats in the upper deck on the left in this picture or are the bleachers just red?

Our entire West upperdeck is chairback club seating as well as the 2 decks below that and several thousand on the 50 of the lower bowl on the east side. We could go to 105,000 or more if we took those out and put in bleachers Tennessee style.

Why in the world did they put a bunch of chair backs in the upper deck on just one side of the stadium? That seems random.

Because as Sun Hog will gladly explain in his nerdy revenue beat off session, we can sell a club level chair back seat for a lot more than a bleacher seat.

If I was in the lower deck, I would be pissed that I paid that much and still had to sit on bleachers.

Then you get on the waitlist and pay more money if you want a chair back.

Are you really trying to say that Reynolds is a luxury stadium while Bryant Denny is not? Neither are NFL stadiums, but Bryant Denny has more skyboxes than any stadium in the nation. It is about as modern as a renovated college stadium can get without completely tearing one down and starting over Stanford style.

Fail, stadium rankings don't go by size only.

We really didn't want them, they kind of threw themselves at us with the constant flaming and histrionics.

I noticed a pattern. arkansas fans will post threads to flame a fanbase then when said fanbase responds in kind, they are "hogsessed".

Insufferable fanbase in need of group therapy.

I never once said BDS wasn't nice as I sat in the corner of the endzone for the Hog game this past year. It's basically a bigger RRS nothing more.

It's shocking that Alabama provides that much of a stadium revenue Gap between Tennessee with the same stadium capacity and almost the same numbers of skyboxes.

Alabama 159 skyboxes (101,000 seats)
Arkansas 132 skyboxes (76,000 seats)
Tennessee 120 skyboxes (101,000 seats)

Forbes.

Alabama $71M
Tennessee $54M
Arkansas $48M

Now, do you understand how Arkansas will pass Tennessee but not Alabama. As much history as Tennessee and Alabama have you wouldn't think there would be such a large gap in general seating prices offsetting the revenue differences.

It's rather interesting Arkansas will pass Tennessee (Same size as BDS with only 39 less skyboxes) with our new skybox addition but won't be close to Alabama. That is pretty sweat deal Alabama can charge so much for general seating and very high amounts for club seats.

It's interesting to me the ways that the different programs handle ticket sales. One of the things that was true about Alabama in the past was that they kept the ticket prices fairly low, but then required a fairly large donation, which was in part tax deductible. A lot of the "services" that come with the different club prices and such also depend on these levels of service. Then you go to other stadiums, and the face values are MUCH higher. I don't understand the benefit of charging a greater face value, but in not requiring as much of a donation...

Only 1 Big Eight conference title ever and it's shared.

42 years and counting without a conference title.

Although I'm a LSU alum I've been to Mizzou for a bunch of games. Their stadium is very nice. It is smaller than they will want it to be and IMO the fans are occasionally almost razorback stupid (my biggest gripes? they cheer at the wrong times and don't know how to maximize home field advantage and they will rush the field if they beat crappy nebraska teams) but it is a very nice place to see a game.

I'm sure they will "upgrade" it by adding in more seating and that will make a big difference to the bottom line. Hopefully they manage to do that in a way that keeps it fairly attractive but adds significantly to the bottom line

Are you relating it to Ole Miss or Mississippi State?

If so that's a fine comparison and those aren't bad stadiums but have a long way to go to be RRS, JH or BDS in terms of luxury and real seating.

They need skyboxes not seats.
