Obviously you didn't watch the LSU game two weeks before...and see the 9:10 drive that ended the game, with Henry carrying it 10 times. But then again, why would you?
Nah I turned that one off well before then. It was obvious pretty early it was a no contest.

I'm not trying to sound like I'm the shite, which I am. But I've said it all year, we just need to come out under center more!!! All I heard when I said this was Kiffin knows what he is doing and we don't have the talent on the oline for that type of run game and Luke, you're a gay boy!! And blah blah blah. Well ever since the 4 quarter of the Tennessee game we have consistently come out from under center, and we have kicked arse ever since. Roll Tide. Kiffin is not needed at all to win at Alabama, but he is a decent Offensive coach I guess, but our success has very little to do with him. Because now we are winning with the same ol plays we have been winning with.

I don't think he gets enough credit for what he did with Blake Sims last season, and Coker this season.
More impressed with Coker this season. Although, Coker is better than Sims.
Sims having Cooper made him way better than he actually was. Cooper made the entire Alabama offense way better than it was.

I realize Cooper was huge for the Tide last year, but come on.
17 total TDs to 30 through 12 games?
2,356 total yards to 3,290 through 12 games?
Both teams were 11-1 going into the SECCG too, with losses to Ole Miss, so don't try the "team record" argument.
Sims didn't have the NATION'S LEADING RUSHER and CONFERENCE'S BEST SCORING DEFENSE to rely on, either.

Coker is a tougher John Parker Wilson.

With a much bigger arm and is much harder to bring down.

Yeah, he had the nation's leading receiver.
I do think that Sims was a much better fit at QB for an offense with Cooper in it, because he throws the deep ball a lot better.

Cooper didn't lead the country in yards or TDs last year.
You can base an entire offense around a RB, but not a receiver.
I just don't see much merit in your argument. Sims produced much more than Coker and didn't have the great running game or defense to rely on.

Just to play devil's advocate, everyone in the stadium knew when Sims dropped back to Pass, Cooper was getting the ball. Maybe you could say his reliance on Cooper made him a worse passer than Coker or something?

He was the best receiver in college football by a large margin, IMO. The kid from WVU or wherever was pretty great too.

Meh, Alabama came pretty damn close to it last year. The dude almost won the Heisman

Alabama threw the ball downfield A LOT more last season, simply because they had Cooper. Of course Sims will have a higher yardage total and TDs. Coker has a higher completion percentage. That's probably a result of shorter passes.

No doubt he was the best WR. I'm just trying to be difficult, which you should expect by now.
Coker's completion percentage is one percent higher brah.
You're making somewhat valid points, but Sims production is just too much compared to Coker's.
shite, Sims hit 3000 yards before the SECCG I think. Coker is 800 yards off pace from that clip.

True.
Alabama still threw plenty of short passes (screens, quick stand-up throws) to Cooper last year, too. So Sims had his fair share of easy passes, as well. He just had the home run threat that Coker doesn't. Cooper caught 6 touchdowns of 50 yards or more.
That's a credit to Sims for throwing a good deep ball, because he threw a few to guys not named Cooper as well. But still an enormous advantage and stat padder to have him.
ETA: Literally almost half of Sims' completions last year were to Cooper. 124/252. That's fricking insane. So yeah, don't tell me you can't base your entire offense around one guy.
