Yes, UGA suddenly started signing 4 or 5, five star recruits per year. Purely by happenstance. Purely coincidental. Right?

Dude. We always recruited around 7-10th in the nation. Now we are recruiting between 1-3. HUGE jump, right?

Aren't you going to answer my question about Mullen and Cam Newton? No? I didn't think so.

Wait, but your guys in this thread said it was a huge jump. Y’all need to get together on this, is it a huge jump or not?

If youre comparing similarities between Richt and Smart and Gus and Sumlin then you’re either very angry or no nothing about football.

I am just pointing out the similarities between Sumlin and Gus. They are just facts. no need to get upset.

But, then if you are upset because Sumlin was fired for doing what Gus has been doing. 5 years of averaging 5 losses must hurt like a sonuvagun.

Here's to hoping Auburn gives Gus yet another extension!

Allowing Justin Fields to get away will turn out to be a big misstep for Smart...

The fact Smart got the #1 recruit, who best suits an RPO offense, to go to GA — pretty amazing. Fields was down to Bama, FSU, LSU, & GA when he made his commitment. Can you imagine Fields at Bama or LSU? Or even Auburn?

Smart cockblocked that bullshite.

It is a jump. Why? Do you think it is a jump, or not?

It is better than Richt.....yes or no?

Seems Gus recruits similar to Sumlin, too.

On second thought, maybe not. Sumlin actually recruited OLinemen.

Y’all need to figure this out, some of your posters are hanging their hats on his recruiting, some say it’s no big deal. If it’s no big deal, then Richt and Smart are basically the same person the first 3 seasons.

Allowing a Heisman contending qb to transfer while starting an average qb.

So much wrong with this where do I begin?

Let me help you out, Alphonse....

After Gus played for the National Championship Auburn went from a class ranking of #10 to #6.

After kirby played for the National Championship Georgia went from #3 to #1. HUUUUUGE jump! Must be paying players!

Maybe because he does recruit better? This isn't rocket science, no matter how hard it is for you to understand.

And Gus and Sumlin are basically the same coach in years 2-6, right?

I think you have gotten lost. I was comparing smart and Richt, yet you are comparing Gus and Smart. Go back and read through and get back on topic.

One difference is Smart was coaching on 12.2.17 and Richt was not.

No, I am comparing Gus and Sumlin. Gus isn't even in the same stratosphere as Kirby. Would you like for me to tell you how?

Records. Rankings. Recruiting. Division Championships. I can go on if you would like.

Of course, I don't think Kirby makes as much money as Gus, but that's a whole different story.

So both are very good. Again with the Kirby compliments? Thanks I guess.

Your reading comprehension fits with an Auburn edumacation.

he didn't say everything was wrong. he said so much was wrong.

Fromm is hardly an average QB. He is projected to go in the first round in the next NFL draft.

Now, nobody should be arguing Heisman Trophy talent evaluation with an Aubbie. Stidham, JJ, Sean White...shall we go one with all the Heisman Trophy QB's Aubbie fans have been projectiong to us the last few years?

National championship appearances
Sec championship appearances are the same while auburn has to compete with LSU and bama year in and year out. Tell me the teams you have to compete with in the eastern division.

It’s not a coincidence when hard work leads to results.

And all those 5 loss seasons. too! GUS BUS!

As for competing in the east?
Auburn is 5-6 against East teams since 2013.
Seems Auburn can't compete against the inferior east teams.
