You're pushing it there.

I'd still have Bama, LSU, SC, ahead of UF's defense for sure. And MSU/UGA are on par IMO. MSU might be better, not sure yet this early. UGA has more talent, but after today idk.

There have been countless bad defenses in history. But no QB ever passed for 450 yds ran for 100 yds before today. Manziel's the first ever.

So Johnny hit a milestone no other QB has ever accomplished in the history of college football, you say? In his 4th game, you say? As a freshman, you say? Against an SEC defense, you say? without playing hardly at all in the 4th quarter, you say?Shocker.

Lulz, no.

Kolton Browning of UL-Monroe had 412 yards passing and 70 rushing on the same defense. Actually, Arkansas had their #1 CB and Preseason Honorable Mention All SEC DB healthy in that game.

So, Browning>Manziel

Browning played the whole game and it went in to OT and his numbers still weren't as good. Lololololz.

Yes

Don't listen to all of these legacy posters that probably didn't even see the game but yet have a definitive opinion.

I'm really an arkansas fan, (don't tell anybody especially Latraian) so I saw the game and your unnamed QB outplayed Tyler Wilson because your QB had a better OL so that he could just sit back and read a book whereas our QB Tyler Wilson is shell-shocked from all the break downs in protection he has to look out for and he is coming off a concussion injury so he is really sensitive to getting hurt.

You're QB played better but under un-equal circumstances.

Jerrod was more of a pure athlete. Johnny is more of a lunch pail guy.

Glad you saw this (I did too). Wilson is a great QB in a shitty situation. After the half it was basically him vs A&M which really sucks.

I hate you less now.

Showing your ignorance. Jerrod was not a running QB at all. Pocket passer all the way.

And another inaccurate generalization as well. Johnny is absolutely a pure athlete. He's a badass in every single sport he's played and is extremely quick. Jerrod was none of those things. He was a poised but conventional pocket passer whose shoulder got jacked one of the zillion times he got sacked when our then-freshmen OL were finding their way. He was not a speedy runner, so when the passing went down the drain, he had nothing else to offer which is why Tannehill took over.
