Let's compare Nutt's 1st 3 years at each school:
Year 1
AR- Jan 1 Bowl
OM- Jan 1 Bowl

Year 2
AR- Jan 1 Bowl
OM- Jan 1 Bowl

Year 3
AR- Sucked. Lose in Las Vegas bowl
OM- Really Suck. Lose to Jacksonville State

Year 4
AR- 7-5. Lose in Cotton Bowl
OM- Maybe a bowl game, if AU really sucks.

All I'm saying is history is repeating itself. Just wait and see...

He didn't have an in-rival to kick his arse at Arkansas, though.

I think Nutt is a good enough coach to be competitive in most SEC games and he can certainly always get in LSU's head, but he doesn't seem to have the ambition to enter that top flight of even SEC coaches. I think he's a guy that can probably average about 8 wins a year over a five year period. The question is, is that going to fly at Ole Miss, especially with Miss St slowly rising up?

You do realize in 14 years in the SEC, Nutt has had a different QB coach or OC every single season right. As Tim Wilson once said "you've been divorced 9 times, hell maybe it's you"

he isn't going to avg. 8 wins a season with no system in place to do so. scrambling for transfers every year isn't going to cut it. Mullen will be able to have sustained success b/c he has a legit system in place and easy OOC schedules from here on out.

jumped ship to Ole Miss and run that team into the ground.

My theory behind that is that he ran out of Orgeron's talent. I'm going to start a thread one day stating how I'd like to see Coach O back as an assistant and as a recruiter.

They've had 2 winning seasons in the last 10 years. I don't call that rising up. I call that being mediocre as usual.

I can't think of a single school that wouldn't want O back as a DL coach and recruiter.

I think any school would love Orgeron as an assistant and recruiter. Guy is fricking intense.

We've had 1 winning season in the past 1 year though. We're batting 1.000 this decade.

He couldn't win a down Western division with 3 NFL starting tailbacks in the backfield.

Now I don't know what to think of that.

Do you honestly think that 3 future NFL running backs is all it takes to win the West?

Dan Mullen is a good coach. Consider what he's done with not a lot of talent. If Les Miles had for some reason decided to go to Michigan I would have been playing the Mullen Song all day long.

Thanks ya'll. I was quietly keeping that one to myself thinking everyone would assume me dense, but now, thanks to ya'lls positive reinforcement, I'm going to write Pete Boone a letter and we're going to make this happen!
