Is hailing from the Nick Saban coaching tree a curse?

Swamp Donkey? Gotta be on some potent damn depression pills.
Boom Muschamp? shite. Gonna blow an artery out of his neck on the sideline.
Nobody from his Toledo or Michigan State days did anything worth noting.
Kiffin and Sark hate him. Sark had drinking problems, and then gets promoted at Bama. What comes next? He's eating boogers on national TV.
I don't want to think what this is going to do to Kirby down the road. I hope Kirby can avoid this curse, but he won't be able to.
Who am I missing?
I personally know a guy who worked for Saban for two months and then bolted, like screw this, life is too short, I'm not working for this tyrannical bastard. That dude lives a happy life to this day.

Thank you, yes.
Can we get someone to go check on Jimbo?

Current Alabama assistant Bobby Williams did a masterful job taking over from Saban in 1999. Took them to something like the "Silicon Valley Bowl".

Also,
Own three of the last 12* division titles. Which is three more than Akransas, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, LSU, A&M, Tennessee, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Vanderbilt combined

You are correct. Great for Dantonio to be 17 years removed from the curse.
So there is hope.
Bobby Williams - failure
Derek Dooley - failure

it's not a curse so much as administrators overrate the association and make hiring decisions based on the flawed reasoning that a little Saban will rub off on a coach.

these trees get peed on by a lot of masters before they bear fruit.
but yes, Jimbo got his start in coaching via his college head coach, Terry Bowden. Spent nearly a decade by Terry's side until the not so graceful fall on the Plains.
