Obviously you have never been to Athens. The U of Georgia -and Alabama - don’t have to buy talent. Kids WANT to go there

I now question if you have been to Athens. I like Athens parties when I was in college but let’s not pretend Athens PD doesn’t chase college kids, especially athletes. Every SEC city has a great bar scene (I assume Mizzou does). The UGA sports facilities are generally behind (indoor facility?), the fans and atmosphere are solid but so are most SEC schools.

Everybody, even Vandy buys players to a degree. What exactly about Athens leads you to believe they don’t buy players?

When was Misery’s championship? I must have missed that. Guess I was too busy going to SEC championships, Rose Bowls , whipping ND twice and playing for a national championship

Well look at Texas A&M. Fisher is getting there. It didn't take over night. This new HC is recruiting light years better. Missouri need to build the roster up first. UGA have had top 5 classes for a long time and no championship in site for the last 40 years!

2016? Surely you jest. Even Ray Goff brought in top talent years ago. UGA is a place top recruits want to go. Too bad Goff couldn’t coach at the highest level and Richt enforced the strictest discipline in the country during his time at UGA. Kirby isn’t Goff or Richt. He can coach as well as recruit at the highest level and he isn’t going to sit key players for 4 games for sharing a marijuana cigarette. He has other ways of getting his point about rule breaking across. It will finally be a level playing field. Something the “Georgia Way” didn’t allow.

UGA has had elite talent since 2016. The time has come maybe even this year to win it all. Y’all have the talent. Kirby reminds me of Les Miles

Yeah, except for the fact that Kirby has only been a head coach for 5 years and has already made changes to the offense that Les never would.

I was actually in the SuperDome in 1980 for the NC.I was old enough to drive and drink so that kind of rules me out for being born that year.

Good for Kirby. He needs to adapt. Les was too stubborn and never would

As far as I know Kirby doesn’t think grass makes a nice game day snack either

It sure won’t be Misery.
Once Nick is gone Kirby will show the things he learned as Nicks top assistant. There may never be another Saban but Kirby is close. He learned from the best and soon everyone will see what he can do with all of Georgia’s resources and Saban then sitting in his front porch whittling a piece of wood

I am guessing Texas A&M will win a championship before UGA will win one under Kirby.

You don’t think les would promote a buddy on the cheap (Coley) or high a journeyman WR coach (Monken) and convince the fan base both were home run hires?

You are entitled to your opinion no matter how ridiculous it is.

Since 2016 their has been at least 1 current or former 5* QB on the roster.

Fromm was a 4 star recruit so we haven't had a 5 star qb on the roster the last two years.

They have had 0 non top 15 classes and 7 top 5 classes since 2001

The top 5 classes started coming once Kirby got here outside of 2003. Finishing in the top 10 in recruiting means you're still finishing anywhere from 3rd to 6th in the conference.

hey tend to avoid Alabama in the regular season)

We still have to play them in the SECCG or the playoffs.

Kirby is growing up on the job. He's brought in Monken to change up the offense and make it more explosive instead of the old ground and pound that he was using with Chaney. Coley was a failed experiment and was replaced rather quickly.

We're hoping too. This will be a crucial year for him and if it goes well and Monken gets another head coaching gig he'll need to make another good/great hire.

If things play out well for y’all, this could be your year. It looks like the stars are lining up well for y’all.

Is the travel warning still in effect for Missouri? Atlanta had some problems during the summer protests as did many cities across America. For the most part Atlanta and the state of Georgia gets along pretty well. An African American neighbor told me a few years ago he was making a business trip out west and he was going to drive almost a hundred miles out of his way to avoid the state of Missouri. He lives and works in Atlanta and has no fear. But apparently he didn’t feel comfortable driving thru Missouri. I’ve been to the UGA/Missouri games in Columbia and I didn’t feel threatened but I’m white. Obviously not all minorities feel safe there. Gotta hurt recruiting

Your take on Monken remains a weird one. One of your classic awful UGA bets about him probably would have led to your car getting taken away.

ESPN was saying this was Oklahoma’s year. I just don’t see it. They don’t ever play defense
