If not mistaken Mississippi State and Oklahoma State are planning to play next year in Houston. That could be a rumor though.

Just a few years ago, MSU had the toughest schedule in the country, and ole miss was the team everyone used as the example for scheduling too many cupcakes (2 FCS schools in 1 year).

We had a BCS team back out and couldn't find an FBS opponent to play on such a short notice

Let's compare. Of these 3 schedules, State's is still the most difficult, even after Auburn and Arkansas fell on their face after being ranked in the preseason, along with A&M losing a hard fought game at home against a top 20 team.
Sure, it is setting up well for State to make a run this year. Just like it did for Ole Miss in these two seasons.
Granted, the 08 OM run was significantly more difficult, and that is why it's the most impressive IMO.
