Im just saying that the Media sure seems to think a lot of Mullen and have spoken very highly of him going into year two.

Once again, double standards live on in our rivals.

So the media is foolish when they gush over Ole Miss, but know what they're talking about when they do the same for Mullen? You're just tailoring your argument to fit your predetermined notions.

Because Ole Miss fans are still in denial about losing the Egg Bowl last year

In denial about losing the Egg Bowl?! Try this on for size:

Ole Miss lost the Egg Bowl in 2009.

There ya go, you delusional arse.

also refuse to admit that Mullen is a good coach

Ole Miss fans IN THIS VERY THREAD have called Mullen a good coach. But to say he's one of the best in the SEC is stupid.

quote:

They dont know it but we were a couple of plays away from being 7-5 (Houston and LSU)

Uh, I do know it. That doesn't mean shite. We were a couple plays away from being 12-1 (SC, Auburn, State) but you don't hear us getting excited over those losses because "oh man if things had only gone our way."

quote:

That alone shows what type of Coach Dan Mullen is and what type of class he has.

Class? How on Earth does anything you say demonstrate "class?" It suggests neither the lack of or presence of "class."

I never said that he was the best in the SEC, all I've said is that the media likes Mullen and he was called one of the top young coaches under 45 by a USA today writer.

I'm a big Pat Fitzgerald fan. He takes a team in NW who doesn't have the talent, and can only take the "smart kids" and had them competing hardcore with a pretty good auburn team; he makes them competitive and that's all you can ask at a school like that

I never said that you said he was one of the best in the SEC, but you sure are linking to other people who say it.

The sky is blue.

Boobs are awesome.

Les Miles is a moron.

Try to actually contribute to a discussion by, I don't know, maybe refuting points people have made or bringing new information and perspective to the thread or something.

With matured quarterbacks and skill-set guys on the roster during the 2011 season, I can see this being a reasonable approach.

Well not only that but our schedule will be much more favorable and the team will be made up of mostly his guys. 6-7 wins and a lower tier bowl shouldn't be meeting expectations by then.

To me personally, the only thing he accomplished was beating Ole Miss last yr. And it hurt pretty bad. However, I do agree that if Ole Miss had won the egg bowl this thread wouldnt have been written, the article would not have included him, and state's fanbase as a whole would have there typical sleepy following. But credit where credit is due the game wasnt close.

he should have beat LSU last year he buttfricked miles up and down the field all day but chad jones spoiled it for him.

i think it was a mistake to not run dixon 4 times at us on the goal line but that jump pass works if chad jones isn't a beast
