They'll just keep moving the bar on us. It was less than a month ago where most had us going 1-4 in Oct with 2-3 being the best possible outcome. Before the season it was anywhere between 4-8 and 7-5 with a losing conference record. Now I know what it must have felt like for W all those years.

by showing off your teams accomplishments against a shitty team with a HS offense and a flash in the pan coach who is 32-27.

Oh, so the score differential now plays a part in winning percentage.

Gotcha.

I am a life long gator, my wife bama. I think chizik has done a pretty good job at auburrrrnnnn. At least his first year he took his lumps and didn't moan & groan like kiffin did at U.T. However, I think Tebow was the force behind the genius of d.mullin like newton was the force behind the blazing offense of g.malzhun at auburrrnnn.

How is this year for Chizik any different than the season after Miles lost two games and won the national championship?

You serious Clark? Look at the differences in talent levels of the teams. Look at the body of work, sans Newton and Fairley. That was a One and a half man team last year. Auburn's recruiting is haphazard at best. Cam Newton won 5 games for that team last year on his own - Miss State, Clemson, LSU, Kentucky, and Alabama. Until Chizik and Taylor find another money source to fund another Cam, Auburn will Never be more than 5th in a 7 team SEC(w) aTm, Arky, LSU, Bama will year after year will outperform Auburn.

Not even close to true. Lutz, Blake, OMac, Mason, Davis, Lemonier, Eguae, Dismukes, etc. are playing pretty good.

Onterio McCalebb is a specialty back playing out of position simply out of necessity. Dismukes, Mason, and Lemonier were on their backs the entire game against LSU. Their name was not called by the announcers for great plays, rather they were identified to point out that they were pancaked by LSU's offensive Line and Blocking Backs.

Lemonier was repeatedly out of position and over pursuing which was expected by the LSU staff. If you notice, JLee often checked into a specific blocking scheme which created a HUGE mismatch with Copeland and Stampley with kick outs. All of the Auburn peeps calling Lemonier all SEC this year is almost as laughable as the notion AU was going to beat LSU.

Need to look at how the talent level has matured with the strength and conditioning at AU under Chiz Whiz and Trooper. HUGE differential between the Big Boy Football BAMA and LSU play and the Hello Kitty style finesse AU is trying to pull off.

Excluding Cam's carries your Big Boy football team had all of 66 more yards on the ground in 2 years against our shitty defense than our Hello Kitty offense put up in 1 game against your all world defense last year.

Thanks for making my point for me BOOG - Take Newton out of Auburn and you have a 3rd tier SEC team at best. What was the point differential in that same period? 100-44? Stats are for teams that have to hold on to some kind of prayer. End Score Trumps All.

If you have not figured it out yet, LSU historically plays football on the opposing Team's end of the field. That is why yardage stats tend to be skewed. But, if you feel it is necessary to march up and down the field in order to pad someone's individual statistics, have at it.

Now, back to the OP's question, Take away Cam Newton and what do you have? A coach that has had at BEST 2 average seasons and a disappointing season under construction. This is year 3 of Chiz Jizz. How many more are you going to SWALLOW?

I'm just not sure that Auburn's offensive ideology will translate to success in the SEC. It didn't work before Cam.

In 09 Chris Todd threw for 2500 yards, 22 TDs and 6 ints. Ben Tate ran for 1500 ands another 12 TDs.

The only thing that is different between then and now....the O-Line had 4 returning starters, this had 1

Where is all of the Offensive Line talent that Chiz Jizz recruits? Can't blame that on TommyT cause you would also have to give him credit for the Crystal last year, and we know no true Auburn Fan is going to do that - So where is it all?

Again, back to the OP's question - winning the recruiting wars does not mean shite - Notre Dame is proof of that - Is Chiz Jizz a flash in the pan? Based on his performance to date - probably, with only one more year to prove himself. The better question is if Chiz goes 7-5 again next year, who is he going to blame it on? His walk ons?
