Culturally Arkansas is much more of an SEC type school than Mizzou. It is arguably a better fit than A&M, Vandy, and Kentucky.
As for sports, since Arkansas has been in the SEC it has won a national championship in the second most important sport (basketball in 1994), and in the most important sport is has made the SECCG three times (lost them all, but at least it made it).
So it isn't a tier SEC school, but it isn't the bottom either.

How is Arkansas a bad fit?? Great fan base, great facilities, etc. I'd put Arkansas in the Top Half of the SEC if you want to talk about fitting. But I guess you can't say they fit better than some original SEC members.

Solid, simple troll. I like it. 3 pages already says the SECr likes it too.

Posted by Message Mizzou23 Is Arkansas a worse fit for the SEC than TAMU or Mizzou? Arkansas had a couple decent years with Petrino. Aside from that they have done nothing. They do not even have a decent basketball program. Not trying to bash them and say they can never be anything. All it takes is one coach to turn a program in to a power. But right now TAMU and MIZZOU are clearly better suited.
Your head coach pretended to get physically held back DURING a game from physically assaulting another coach.
You really think he has your basketball program in good shape? Meth rumors must be true, frick me you people are delusional.

THIS. Football wise A&M and Arkansas are about the same historically.

Half of Missouri is the same as arkansas culturally, there is just a line on the map that separates the states.

I would put Arkansas slightly ahead of aTm, due to there series record and Arky has been in the SEC for 20+ more years. If Arky was in the Big 12 at that same time, Arkansas would have several big 12 titles and BCS bowls. Many people forget Arky was ranked number 3 in the nation just 2 years ago.

I realize that being an LSU fan probably means reading comprehension isn't your strong suit, so I'll help you out - I was responding to a tanm fan regarding basketball. Does that help?

South Carolina has always been a weird fit for me. If it wasn't for Spurrier, I would forget they even exist.

The state of Arkansas is in the Southeast. Texas is in the Southwest, Arky is a much, much better fit than Mizzou, Atm and Kentucky tbh.
