OU is a true blue blood and nobody is disputing any championships as far as I can see. I fully expect OU to be competitve in the SEC, if they upgrade their defense for the grind of the SEC. I do think this hire is a sign that is exactly what they intend to do. I will say this. I hope they they keep that style of offense. It works both ways too. I mean, it is much to easier to prepare for that style of offense in 2 weeks for a bowl game, than it is a couple of days and especially the week after playing physical SEC teams like UGA and Arky, for example. Meaning the SEC grind. A defense might come in beat up and under prepared for OU's offense. But I don't really know if they will keep that style of offense with the new coach.

What possible reason would an A&M fan have to look down on OU fans?

The majority of the teams Aggies look down on have winning records over them.

The same reason we look down on LSU fans. The state of Texas has several third world neighbors whose entire existence revolves around college football. We are happy to invite you all in for labor purposes but don't get too uppity. There is plenty of migrant labor to choose from.

Auburn would win the Big-12 every year and dominate you in Norman. Do you like apples? We're going to kick your ****y asses. How do you like them apples? We're not even the best in the conference but we're going to frick you up.

I did in about the 5th or 6th post in the thread.

If it is true the SEC is better because of recruiting or coaching staff than OU will not be at any type of longterm disadvantage over any other team in the SEC.

OU is two and 0 versus Auburn. Of particular interest to our conversation is in 71 Nebraska beat Bama for the Natty, OU beat Auburn and ended number two, But LSU did beat Iowa state so stop eating the invisible apples.

Huh we are not sad at all we actually believe that Venables was a uograde over Riley . Sure the shock right away was like wow okay not in million years we believed that would happen… literally one week later we had already forgotten about Riley abs you really look at it he has done nothing go with his own recruits … his best year was with Bob players … so you much be confused ….

I am not sure if Venable is an upgrade . . .time will tell. Riley's stature is massively overstated however and it was clear he was getting less production out of more talent every year. OU will have a bit of a speedbump with this recruiting class but will likely be fine after that.

A@m fan who gets it but OU still finished in the top 8 in recruiting for 2022 and we lead for Lebereus Overton . 2023 is what I think you was talking about but OU has shyed away from the offensive types of players Riley likes to recruit which are the smaller quick rather than fast wrs and backs. OU is now recruiting tall wrs and if your not 62 or bigger your not playing much on OUs team with venables in charge . It’s obvious he wants a bigger team to compete with sec types of players . The notion we are going to be in trouble in the sec is false. We compete with everyone and that includes Bama UGA. LSU just got us with 4 f our best players suspended and them having their greatest team ever … most people don’t realize OU actually gained more yards than And scored more points than Clemson did vs LSU. All I gotta say is be careful for what you wish for .

To be fair, LSU put their second and third string players in much earlier vs Oklahoma than Clemson.
49-14 at halftime will cause that.

Auburn fans need to deal with Houston before they worry about OU
