Nah. Our WRs corp then was Julio and a bunch of nobodies.

Now it's a banged up Cooper and a bunch of nobodies.

Who was our second best WR when we had Julio? Maze? We have AT LEAST 4 guys better than Maze.

Cooper should be (he may not be, but should be) fine by 11/9. White, Jones, and Norwood are FAR better than the likes of Maze, Hanks, and Gibson.

I suppose LSU's WR corps is OBJ, Landry, a bunch of scrubs.

Yeah, Maze, Hanks, and Gibson wouldn't see the field this year.

U's. LSU might have two 1000 yard receivers, that's awesome for those two guys as individuals, but it really has no bearing on which team's entire offense is bet

WR
Lsu has two wr in the top 4 in yards , tds and rec.
bama has zero Wrs in the top 15 in yards , tds, rec
RB
Lsu's starting rb better stats than Bama's starting rb.
Lsu has 4 rbs in the top 28 in tds( 3 in the top 15)
Bama has 2 rbs in the top 40 in tds
Lsu has 4 rbs in the top 40 in rushing yards.
Bama has 2 rbs in the top 40 in yards.
QB
Mett has a higher qb rating than AJ

What's really funny is you and some LSU posters, in defense of LSU having this offense that is heads and shoulders above Bama's offense, keep giving us INDIVIDUAL stats. I post a link to TEAM stats showing that LSU averages 18 more yards per game but Bama averages 1 more point per game, and not one of you responds to that except to come back with individual stats. Congrats on LSU's individual stats, I'll take the team stats and the points every day.

WR

LSU has 19 passing TDs.

Bama has 18, in one less game.

RB

Bama has a higher YPC

QB

AJ has less INTs

So it's easy to pick and choose stats you like.

LSU's offense obviously gets better numbers. Despite claims made by fans on either side, I believe this is going to be an AWESOME game.

This whole thread is a clinic in people manipulating the use of statistics to try and prove their point of view. It's pretty entertaining.

Lsu has the higher ranked total offense. Lsu is 4th bama is 7th.
Bama played one decent defense in va tech and got 200 yards.
Lsu played the best defense in the sec and had 30 yards less against Florida than bama did against Colorado st.

Congrats. Yards don't win games.

You didn't watch the game back, clearly. If you do, we'll discuss it.

You really think that makes sense? Bama's OL has changed since then.

Yeah. Those were the first two games breaking in 3 new guys on the OL.

Yards prove that your offense is moving the ball. Lsu leads the sec in 3rd %.
Points aren't the end all be all of proving an offense is great. You could give a opponent two fumbles inside your own 5 and your opp turning those fumbles into 14 points.
Those 14 points don't prove that your opponents offense is good.

A Corner's ACL could give out in the middle of a play and give up a 99 yard run on the edge.

Doesn't prove that your offense is good.

How can they not be favored with all the great stat advantages they have. They should win by 3 touchdowns!

You're stupid. I saw in the other thread that you believe Cooper run a sub 4.4 forty. If you believe that then you know shite about football. Period.

I was told by someone who has always given reliable information to us and who knows someone on the training staff that Cooper ran a sub 4.4 forty in training. You're an idiot if you disagree with that based on High School numbers. Maybe Coop won't run that officially at the draft or his Pro Day, but right now the most recent source (and a guy who has always been a reliable one at that) we have says he ran a sub 4.4.

But clearly you can look at him and tell me you know what he runs.

But yeah he runs a sub 4.4. You're the biggest homer on this site.
