Not snake bit. Just a matter of finding a coach who pays attention to detail, knows his x's and o's and is willing to make high school kids feel special. He learned from the best. And he's way ahead of him at this point in his career.

You've got to be kidding. Saban began at Toledo, then a crippled MSU just beginning probation, then an LSU coming off the worst decade in its history, then Bama coming off the worst decade in its history still feeling the effects of sanctions. It was almost devoid of talent.

KS jumped into a top 15 program following the most successful coach in school history, having come close to 4 NCs in the previous 14 years, stocked full of talent, even with the slight decline at the end. They are also in probably the 4th best recruiting state in the country.

Saban started with a Yugo and finally graduated to a Maserati, but it was broken and in need of repair. KS jumped into an Escalade in good shape.

You have it backwards. Georgia is your only hope to slow the machine at Bama.

Exactly. We're not the hero the SEC deserves, but we're the one it needs right now.

It still doesn't invalidate what he said. He's in his second year of being a head coach. He isn't saying he is better than Saban, simply that at the second year of their careers Kirby is ahead.

I'm not as concerned about what is behind them as I am what is in front of them. If Kirby does 1/3 of what Saban has done I will be very happy.

Not according to the rant. According to the rant Georgia hasn't done anything since 1980.

While true, I guess, what has that got to do with what they have accomplished?

I hope we can slow it down just long enough for us to get a nattie.
