They think a coach who has won 6 straight at home vs ranked opponents.. is 13-11 vs ranked opponents (more wins against ranked teams than the last 4 coaches combined) needs to be fired.
People don't question Avery because of his record vs ranked opponents. It's the following games when you beat Kentucky at home, but turn around a lose to Texas A&M at home or blow a 19-point lead to Georgia State. I get some of the fan reactions are knee jerk, but it's not like they're 100% wrong. Avery came here as an unproven college coach. When he has losses to inferior opponents and late-season collapses on a consistent basis, of course people are going to question his ability to coach.

If we got behind the BBall 1/3 as we got behind football it would be an amazing program.. fan support is a huge factor in a consistent winning program
We're consistently one of top money generating programs in the conference in basketball. How good do you expect the support to be for a team that has one tournament win in over a decade?
The fan support is fine.

So 7 of 8 years we've been a bubble team, and this year will make it 8 of 9.

Trick question. The answer depends on whether the team they’re playing is good or bad.
