Florida isn't that good. They had a good run with a great team, however the SEC sucks at basketball except Kentucky.
It's like seeing a Big East team have a good football season. Is UConn becoming a football power?!?!?!!?? NO THEY ARE NOT
Good run? 4 Final Fours, 3 NC games, 2 NCs since 1994, ranked in the top 5 for total wins in that span. Find me a 'football school' that comes close to this success.

Beat Fla and we'll see. Best team in the East.

I guess you missed the Wimp Sanderson era.
And CM Newton. Bama is one of the top 2-4 teams in the SEC historically.
Bama is second to Kentucky in SEC winning percetage. Did you know FL has a losing all-time SEC record? Bama, I think is also second to UK in SECT championships and reg. season championships.
Below are all-time SEC records thru 05', couldn't find more recent.
1.University of Kentucky 823-217 (.791)
2.University of Alabama 674-495 (.577)
3.University of Arkansas 123-97 (.559)
4.University of Tennessee 598-480 (.555)
5.Vanderbilt University 574-530 (.520)
6.LSU 572-550 (.510)
7.Auburn University 521-593 (.468)
8.University of Florida 486-569 (.461)
9.Mississippi State University 491-645 (.432)
10.University of Georgia 450-650 (.409)
11.University of South Carolina 91-133 (.406)
12.University of Mississippi 405-710 (.363)

The way bama plays defense they're not an automatic out for anyone.

To who, you? ESPN? To each his own.
I will be very happy with an SEC reg. season championship this year. For me, the season will be a success with that alone.

How about winning a couple of games in the NCAA's before you put bama in the same sentence with florida and Kentucky
This. If Wimp couldn't win with Horry, Spreewell and Robinson, then I'm not getting my hopes up, although I really like Grant. Grant reminds me of Dee Washington in "Remember the Titans". I can see him being like that.

I love all of the Bama fans quoting recent history to defend their basketball program and berate other universities' basketball programs.
It's so.............

Irons puppet- sir you are a true idiot. Are you even following basketball?
Anyways bammers, I think Grant is taking you in the right direction. I'm honestly hoping that Texas gets rid of Barns (underachievers) and brings Grant here to Texas. He will make Alabam very good. He can take them to the promised land I think.

Conference titles are basically worthless in college basketball. People remember who advanced deep into the tournament, that's it.

Eh, all yall pointing to the total record is a little decieving. All that record tells me is that we are infinitely better now than we were at the start of the season. Do I think we are a great basketball team? no Do I think we are a good basketball team that is headed in the right direction and could be great soon? absolutely
How we do in the tourney is completely and totally dependent on who we get. If we get a team that is true to their seed, then we at least make second round, MAYBE 3rd if we get lucky.
Good years to come though if we can manage to keep Grant in Crimson and White for a while.

I do and I see FL, KY and Vandy having success in a waterdowned league. How many SEC teams will play the 2nd weekend of the tourney. They only deep run by an SEC team will be because of weak seating.

lol at Bama fans thinking they are a basketball dynasty now because they are having one decent season. Surely multiple recent football national titles and multiple basketball national titles is very comparable to Bama's programs.
