FTR, and this is actually on record out of Richie's mouth, OM (Nutt) barely recruited him so if you want any of your argument to make sense I'd stick with the guy who doesn't let his players cuss as the one who called Mullen a Scientologist

The difference is obvious though. No doubt Houston would say or do anything to sign a recruit. If you have ever met freeze or heard him speak you can tell he's not that same weasel. I would bet a ton of money that freeze did not negatively recruit against Mullen using religion. It is possible that an assistant coach did, Kiffin seems the type, but I will never trust anything out of Matt Wyatt's mouth

Someone needed to correct this.
Ole Miss is far from the worst academic school in the SEC. Based on the regular 12 team conference, Ole Miss is bordering on top half. VU, UGa, and UF are the clear cut top 3. After that? Maybe Alabama and LSU. After that? Ole Miss is clearly in the discussion.
The only colleges that are not clearly in the middle are UT, USC, and UK. Not trolling, but this is from much research. Don't just look at US News and World Report and assume it's the only decent list.
I'll also add that Alabama's top 30 law school helps boost their academic prestige, for their undergrad isn't quite as good as their postgrad.
Also, don't base academic prestige off of entrance standards or entering student GPA. We all know these have nothing to do with how difficult the school is, only with how difficult to attain admission is. Anyone from Ole Miss will tell you our admission standards are low.

Actually, that's according to Richie Brown.
It's a well-known fact that Freeze is an excellent recruiter. It's also well known that he has a tendency to blow up and say regrettable things when it's not going his way. He took you from favorite to out of the running for Robert Elliot the same basic way in 2007.

Like hardwork and strategy? When Channing Ward got home at 11pm from the allstar game freeze was in his drive way. No other coach was there. When we asked a recruit what we needed to do to get a commitment from him, he said, just show me you want me, as soon as he got home from his visit he had over 100 individual written letters telling him how we need him.
