Despite 2,000+ games combined played between the two programs since their inception both as of today...

Have the exact same all time records - (.561)

Have the exact same # of bowl appearances - (36)

Both stadiums are listed as having almost the exact same capacities (60,580 vs 60,454).

Pretty weird huh?

Not attempting to rustle. I just thought it was interesting how the records matched despite 2,000+ games. I would think the odds of that happening are almost slim to none.

Then all that other stuff matched up and made it sort of spooky

They both have better fans that the longwhorns. And we don't ever see tech fans on SEC boards begging for attention, nor do we see Ole Miss fans on longwhorn boards begging for attention.

bowl appearances don't mean much. take the two programs I am most familiar with, Illinois, and Baylor

Illinois has 18 bowl appearances and Baylor has 21 But in terms of historical program, Illinois has so much more history and success it isn't even worth talking about. Illinois has been bad for a long time, through most of the everybody-gets-a-bowl era. But they still have 5 claimed national titles and an argument for the greatest college football player of all time. Baylor not so much.

Ole Miss has 3 claimed titles and Tech has 0. as of 1975 when there were 11 total bowls, Tech had gone 14 times while Ole Miss was at 20

Going to a bunch of scrub bowls in the BCS era doesn't catch you up.

Oh Baylor, your recent success has made you so cocky.

Since 2000, Tech has gone to the Cotton Bowl twice, Holiday Bowl twice, the Gator Bowl, and the Alamo twice. Those all sound very scrubbish to me.

Did you read my post or did you just assume I was trumpeting Baylor because you assume all fans are as biased and pedantic as you?

How dare you compare a fine institution of higher learning to those classless clown sand fleas. I am offended on behalf of Ole Miss fans/alum.

OP, stop it. There is no way Ole Miss is anything like the imbeciles at that battery tossing, tortilla throwing junior college in the Texas Panhandle.

Ole Miss, accept my apologies.

While their records are similar I don't think Ole Miss has STD outbreaks on a scale to compare to Tech. There is, as far as I know, nothing called Rebel Rash to compare to the dreaded Raider Rash.

You still didn't answer the question. I guess two cotton bowls, two holiday bowls, two Alamo and one gator are all trash by Baylor standards, thus you took a 20 year break from bowl games all together.
