In YOUR opinion, what is the direction of each SEC program with the rationale?

The choices are UP, DOWN, STEADY

Bama-Steady; Bama is at a peak where they don't rebuild, only re-load. Best coach in America. Really only direction they can go is down, probably the best program in America at this time.

Auburn-Down; Chiz will be fired soon, it will happen either at the end of this year or next year; Cam has allowed him to get this far.

LSU-Steady; See Bama above except I think LSU is probably the 2nd best program in America currently.

Ole Miss-Up; there is really only one direction for this program to go after the Ogre and Nutt regimes; fanbase seems positive about the program direction.

Miss St-Up; Merlins seems to be a solid coach; they are building a solid program up there and will be expanding their high school stadium soon.

Arkansas-Down; Wow, they were trending way up at the end of last year; one college skank and a horny coach and look at the result.

Texas A&M-Up; Excitement real high in Aggieland; Being in the SEC will drastically improve their recruiting in Texas.

Georgia-Up; early last year, I thought Richt would be fired; I was wrong and he has this program headed in the right direction again.

Tennessee-Up; All of the sudden, winning the East seems like it is in the "realm" of possibility.

Florida-Down; Muschamp is the Chizz of the east; in over his head at a program that will not tolerate mediocrity.

Vandy-Up; Vandy fans enjoy the 7-5/6-6 seasons while you can, Franklin will be leaving soon.

Kentucky-Down; program is in a sorry state; Joker is a joke as a head coach.

Missouri-Steady; they were a solid program before joining the SEC; the potential is there, I just don't think they are primed to make a big leap like A & M is.

South Carolina-Steady; they will be a 9-3 program until Spurrier retires.

A&M's recruiting was never a problem. They have lacked in coaching.

See, your wisdom would make sense if I were Boom.

It makes no sense to a fan that says he hopes Boom proves you haters wrong.

How is my hope affecting his success or failure.

For fricks sake.

I would go steady with UGA but the rest I agree with.
Steady for UGA because I think they may falter under expectations as is their history under Richt. They don't look like the same team as last year to me. Too early to say down because coming in I expected them to win the East(still do) and they have good talent. I just don't trust Richt when he's supposed to be good.

UF's steady stream of 4 and 5 stars tells me down is the wrong direction

I'm not sure TAMU is an "up" just yet - they have everything to prove and have yet to accomplish anything in a tougher environment now

It's a constantly shifting balance. If someone else rises another has to fall. I guess that's just the nature of the SEC... God that sounded just a bit cheesy for my tastes.

Alabama - Steady. Not as good as 2011, but still one of the best.

Arkansas - Down. Inevitable w/ Petrino firing.

Auburn - Down. Outside 2010, a collective 'meh' for a while now.

Florida - Steady, don't see them becoming elite with Will.

Georgia - Steady. Better than last year, not saying much.

Kentucky - Down. Joker's about to be out.

LSU - Steady. Elite program neck and neck w/ Alabama.

Mississippi - Up. Almost can't help but be better than recent years.

Miss State - Steady. 8-9 win ceiling annually.

Missouri - Steady. Historic 2nd-tier program.

South Carolina - Down. 11 win season was the mountain top. Spurrier will retire w/n next fews.

Tennessee - Up. By default, but a program that won't threaten LSU/Alabama anytime soon.

Texas A&M - Steady. Not a bad program, but not going to beat anyone of note, either.

Vanderbilt - Down. Went to a bowl, back to irrelevancy for 20 years.

i agree with most but definately disagree that florida is on the way down. they went down at the end of the meyer regime and bottomed out last year imo. therefore i think they are on the cusp of an upward turn. with miami down so low, the state of florida produces plenty of great athletes for both uf and fsu so muschamp should be able to recruit well. he showed me last night that he can make adjustments and that he has a better OC than the fat arse he had last year. i think UF will challenge for the east this year.

Change "down" to "steady" and it would be more accurate. Remember that you have to use last year (7-6) as a reference.
