feeling about a game. i remember when i wanted to beat tennessee, and auburn so badly they might as well have been natty games. individual games had way way more meaning and character to them. when an alabama fan thought of arkansas, OM, MSU games they had character just thinking about the matchup and how it would go....now all the games are just the next one to try and stay alive for playoffs...easily forgotten. if we were losing by 14 to the barn my mind would be thinking "will the committee forgive this if we lost by x,y,z or what do we need to do to" instead of that old feeling of depression that we are gonna lose the iron bowl (which is how it should be and was way more fun.....preferring to win)
Today i want to beat the rivals but really only as an endgame to try to make the playoffs and have a shot at the title. if we arent gonna do that im not gonna care much about any individual win.
It takes something insane like this kiffin thing to give any game that kinda feel which is why its gonna be so good.....unfortunately who knows when we will get something like that again..........more coaches need to man up and talk shite like spurrier and bowden.

Agree. The anticipation is really building for this (and Aggie the next week). It does feel like the old days with the emotion that has built up since last season and how it all went down.
