How could so many people get twisted into such a sick way of thinking and behaving. but then again it was somewhat the same with slavery.

Had a lot to do with the state of German society after paying war reparations for a decade following the conclusion of WWI+the fact that there were no more than 15-17 political parties trying to seize power of their goverment.

FIFY, that fricker wasn't normal.

Well, yeah. Obviously he wasn't normal. I meant outwardly. He was a law student and supposedly the average guy to those who knew him.

Then there are others who never appeared normal, like Ed Gein.

The whole Nazi party was rooted in the occult society...they literally thought they where born from the gods and took those beliefs to the extreme

The BTK killer is another good example of a serial killer, who was by all accounts perfectly normal. People were shocked when they found out what he was guilty of.

I've watched some of the "Hitler and the occult" documentaries on the History Channel. It's pretty crazy stuff.

Reading about serial killers fascinates me.

I really got into reading about them after I read the book about Derrick Todd Lee. That is a sick bastard.

I wish history would go back to being more the hitler channel than all these reality shows

I'm not talking so much about the ones that stood by and let Jews be rounded up and sent off, as much as I'm talking about the ones that did the killing, knew about it, planned it, etc.

When I was little I would watch the shite out of some History Channel and Discovery channel. The History Channel is nothing but reality bullshite now. If you want to get any of the old programs you have to have H2.

History channel was awesome when it was mostly shows about history. Now they are just doing random reality stuff and coming up with a loose connection to history. For example, Swamp People. The only history is the little disclaimer they show at the start of every episode about how crazy frickers have been going out hunting gators for hundreds of years.

well the ones that did it kinda fall under the milgram experiment outside of the planners.

they also evolved from killing up close with guns to using gas chambers so the ones doing the killing wouldn't have mental break downs.

No, sociopaths aren't normal. There's definitely something really wrong in their brains. I'm fascinated by the show Criminal Minds - even though it really disturbs me sometimes. And I still think the scariest movie I've ever seen was Silence of the Lambs. I still occasionally have nightmares about that shite.
