well, that link isn't completely accurate, because it argues that MTV has never sponsored Bonnaroo and that is completely false.

MTV hasn't sponsored the roo. But when ac & superfly became involved, the lineup changed to cater to a mainstream crowd.

I'm not saying they put on the show, but they are a big part of it. They are a completely behind the scenes entity with Bonnaroo, but are very much present. Not trying to say they are completely controlling everything, but it has gone down hill since they started becoming a major sponsor.

There aren't really good news sources when it comes to Bonnaroo news 
Also, seeing MTV cameras there when I went in 08, i doubt they would be allowed to be there without sponsoring the event.
however, I have been drinking and really don't feel like trivially debating this further.
