Your body needs food. In all seriousness, the body is going to get the carbs and protein one way or the other. EVEN IF IT MEANS BREAKING DOWN YOUR OWN MUSCLE! Yeah, that will cause you to drop some pounds, but at the expense of muscle..
I assume you are wanting to drop fat and tone muscle. If that is the case, you need to do a few things...
1- eat MORE!! yes more.
more meals per day
more of the good foods
more.. more more.... MORE.
6 meals per day! Not knowing your weight, height, etc it's kinda hard to pin point, but let's say your needed calories =s 2400 per day. Divide that 6 (the 6 meals). That's roughly 400 cals per meal. Eating less meals and larger causes the body to store FAT. doing the above will siganl to the body that it will get what it needs through out the day and not store but actually use some stored fat.
2- Cardio.. 30 minutes/day that's in addition to whatever your normal day is.
3- WATER!!! no matter what, drink the proper amounts of water per day. I promise you that if you will drink the right amount of water, you will crave it to relieve thirst. Coke won't quench it.
4- Lay off the soda! PERIOD..
5- 1 day per week, eat 50% more cals than normal. A cheat day.
