I'll Go Ahead and Admit It. LSU is a Great Team

I think this year's LSU squad is one of the better ones of the BCS era. Don't get me wrong, I think that Alabama is a great team as well and the game in Tuscaloosa could have went either way.
Many talk about UA moving the ball well until the Red Zone and sputtering out....so UA was better. While part of it was terrible playcalling, the rest was LSU's Defense. An opportunistic defense is still defense. Bend but don't break is not a style that I "like"...but it worked. I think if the game was played 10 times in Tuscaloosa, UA would have won 6 and lost 4. The teams are so much alike, it's hard to say any different.
The thing that I think about in regards to both of these teams is...what would happen with a quarterback like Tyler Wilson? I think either team could be considered one of the greatest ever with elite QB play.

Tyler Wilson would have the same stats as AJ if he played in Bama's offense.

I disagree. He would hit more of the overthrows AJ misses. I do think it would still be a conservative offense, but he could do more on ability alone.

quote:I don't think so. AJ made some bad reads in the LSU game. It's scary to think what LSU would have been like with a Tyler Wilson at QB this year. I'm looking forward to seeing what Mettenberger will do next year.

That is just silly.

Bama and Arkansas are great teams. Would be undefeated in any other conference!
