Talking heads can say whatever they want. Just because they say it, doesn't mean it passes the sniff test with me. I hope only the best for Milroe in the NFL. When he was on, he was ON baby. But when he was off, DOOOOH.

Harsin and Deboer comparisons are the shiniest of hooks for the Gumps.

It is a fact that the team DeBoer fielded in 2024 was the most talented team of record per 247 sports

Referring to the quote I grabbed from the article as “talking heads” makes me think you have no idea what I’m talking about.

I call them all taking heads. If they really knew anything about coaching football, they'd be doing that and not what they are currently doing.

Do natzi's have fingers missing?

Speaking of fingers. What do you call a person that doesn't have all of his fingers on one hand?

Saban's first year at Bama he was 7-6 53%.
Saban's overall record is 297-71 81%

Deboer's first year at Bama 9-4 69%.
Deboer's overall record is 113-16 87.6%.

Talent alone doesn't win games in the SEC. When you have a program going through an entire coaching change in every facet of the game, on top of a lot of that "great talent" being inexperienced, raw talent alone doesn't equal wins. But I suspect you're not going to take that into consideration.

Always bama fans wanting to compare their first HC to everyone else... but never doing a side by side comparison.

How so?

"E.B. Beaumont was the first head football coach for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide in 1892. "

That was a year or 2 before I started following college football. What is this side-by-side comparison you speak of.

He certainly did. I also WAY outkicked my coverage, but don't have nearly his bank account. Thank goodness my wife has bad eyesight and poor taste in men.

Alright buddy, you know the drill. I’m not even going to even ask the question, you know better than this

Not arguing that Deboer didn't start with more, he did. Deboer also had to compete with other schools purchasing players with NIL, something Saban did not have to contend with in 2007. I'm just stating that a complete coaching change and still going 9-4 is better than acceptable to me.

On another note you mentioned in a different post about "Side by side comparisons".

Kelly went 10-4 first year at lsu 71.4%
Kelly is 29-11 at lsu 72.5%
Kelly is overall 292-107 73%.

Kelly had a better first year than deboer, but overall Deboer has kelly beat.

You mean a program that thinks it can replace the greatest coach to ever do it in one coaching search.

1. Not just “great talent”, it was the most talented team ever
2. Why is Freeze not given the “inexperienced talent” excuse to hide behind. He is working through a complete rebuild, but I suspect you're not going to take that into consideration.

Let me guess I am speaking to a youth football coaching legend lol.

It sounds like this is the cope you use when presented with an undeniable fact that you do not like.

I'm not sure who you're speaking for, but it dang sure ain't for a lot of Bama fans I know, including myself. Most Bama fans fully expected a drop-off. Just because some of your Bama co-workers didn't think so doesn't mean the entire fanbase thought that way.

That's a bunch of horse$hit and you know it. Our WR's, OL, and RB's weren't close to what we've had in the past so there's no way it was "most talented of all time". If you believe that I've got some ocean front property I'll sell you for a "real good price". LOL!

First year comparison, yes, BK had a better first year than deboer AND walked into a way worse situation than deboer. If you are saying overall he has Kelly beat... what are you basing that off of, the game last year? If so, then that's dumb.
