#9Tie University of Illinois—?Urbana-?Champaign Urbana, IL
#9Tie University of Texas—?Austin (Cockrell)
#11Tie Texas A&M University—?College Station College Station, TX
The University of Texas is very comparable or exceeds A&M in their bread and butter fields and blows them out of the water with the law school, medical school, and liberal arts and business aspect.
Best Engineering Schools
And LOL at anyone lending credence to "reported salaries" of people who live to rush onto the Internet to win online contests and stuff the ballot box in favor of A&M to defend its honor.
They lie.

that is US NEws which isn't using criteria that matters to students.
things like selectivitity are not telling you anything about the college, etc. Austin is popular out of state with a lot of kids due to the 'hill country', bars, etc , so its get a lot of applications b/c of that.

The psychological effect of not being "The University of South Carolina" has devastated you. Seek help.

i prefer Clemson because it sounds like a private school and many people think it is. more prestigious sounding.
people forget that Homer once threatened Lisa with sending her to the Uni of South Carolina. lol

Poor fan of the younger, smaller school with lower graduate salaries.
Maybe your shitastic alumni base can one day upgrade your 1980's-esque facilities.
Get off the SEC boards and make a donation

Are their main campus buildings also named after a guy who got off on lynching black people?

i don't think employers view UT as any better than Texas AM and Texas AM probably has better rep for engineering and science."
sorry man, wrong across the board there.
just getting back to this.. wow, you've been on a roll since I left. Irony, but I had to run by a University for a quick meeting.
How so u ask? I one case I was referencing your definition of "flagship" school. There really is no clear definition of what a flagship school is. It varies, by state and by "party". The more esteemed the "party", the less "flagships" are recognized. There can be just one accordingly, in each and every case the state of Texas is defined as having one, it's across the board The University of Texas.
Your definition is not inclusive of any opinions I've ever been aware of nor should it be. A main campus is just that, a main campus.
Not bothering with the rest, I'm guessing you're trolling, if not take a breather. Simply put you are way off on most, if not all of your opinions and topics.
Never know, some on here may be mid cap personal business owners or even tier 1 executive admins at a university near you or at least household name and have some value to share.
What nugget of insider info I will share is that for 85% of us, regardless of what facts are to be shared.. the interviews success is likely down to what day, what slot you had the final interview, what kind of bs you could sling over 5 hours and three days, your personality blend vs the decision makers and how big the opposing candidates rack was.. versus anything we are debating here today.

the two universities are in different university systems. to say one is the flagship makes no sense.

Miami over both. Better academically, sports are solid, and in a city with plenty to do.
Miami comes out ahead in two areas: Medicine and music. And Medicine is post undergraduate.
The rest belongs to Florida, in reality right now giving UNC and Virginia all they can handle.
Free Shoes University is a Clown College and football mill.

you don't come across as intelligent. lol you had to run by the university....no wait, the University. got to capitalize it.
Texas AM and UT are not in the same university system. Texas AM is not in the university of texas system.

Please shut up. Tater. It is evident you have no clue.
I have friends in Texas and a few years back, just before the SAT was changed, her son cut a 1400 on the test. He also had excellent high school grades from a really good Houston high school. Texas told him to do a year or two at Houston and, if his grades there were good enough, Texas would take him.
Tater engineering ranks below Tech, VPI, N.C. State and North Carolina. One more question: why do a lot of Tater students head for Columbia once they earn one of those assembly-line degrees.

review the criteria again and your source.. the reality and "bottom line" are remarkably different.
you remind me, first thing tmrw I need to make sure all second and third shift mfg employees have no access to company internet.
I'm searching yet.. can't find a single post where you have a clue what your talking about.

UNC doesn't have engineering. lol

engineers don't work on assembly lines. you are a hick. lol

ok i'm glad you love Texas but i don't think employers are Texas fanboys like you. they view all the large state universities the same.
