They could always do a split screen for 30 second timeouts and post-kickoff/pre-offensive snaps, similar to what I’ve seen for NFL games. However, that makes too much sense.

At a certain point people will stop watching. Also with digital cable boxes they can monitor everything. Just change the channel every time a commercial comes on, or mute the TV. Advertisers will get the point.
