Only once was Saban forced to change QB's at half. Must have been some good coaching on the opponents part considering the overall talent adv Bama still had.

Alabama certainly had a talent advantage in most games, which is what I told you. Jalen Hurts won so many games because of that talent. You asked what kept the game close and I told you. I thought it was fairly obvious to anybody that watched the game. The difference in the offense first half to 2nd half was night and day and that was because of the quarterback.

An opponent with poor coaching wouldnt have ever forced Saban to pull Hurts. Thats the point of that question being asked.

I never said that UGA's coaching is poor. I'm not sold on the offensive coordinator but I think most of the coaches are good.

You can't really be that dense can you? Jalen Hurts has a problem throwing the ball downfield. His problem cost Alabama the loss to Auburn. In most of last seasons games Jalen's rushing ability was enough to offset his passing deficiency. Georgia put 11 defenders at the line of scrimmage and stopped the run. Jalen was unable to throw the ball downfield where wide receivers were running free wide open. Saban saw the handwriting on the wall with Jalen at QB and didn't hesitate to pull him and insert Tua and a passing package. Tua exploited Georgias secondary with accurate downfield passes backing Georgia off the LOS. Then Alabamas rushing game kicked in and that was the end of Georgia.

In response Georgia did all the wrong things. Kirby got conservative to protect his lead and Alabama blew Georgia up. Alabama's D found it's mojo and stopped Georgia cold. Kirby and his staff folded like a lawn chair in the second half. They played right into Sabans hands. Kirby will never be ready for prime time. Anyone with any brains at all knows not to try to sit on a lead against Alabama and Nick Saban - but that's exactly what Kirby Smart did.

Usually Bama's coaching and overall roster made up for it. Never before in the past 2 years has Saban been forced to bench the starter.

So how come Saban hasn’t out coached Auburn and beat them when Auburn’s won 9 games?

why did saban keep playing a QB that can't throw?

Ah yes, the rarely seen 11-0 front. Don't see it much these days.

right. He was desperate and realized his starting QB that had started the other 13 games couldn't do shite and they would lose the game if he didn't do SOMETHING different. Not brilliant, desperate. But it worked.

I never said that and haven't read every page, but I wouldn't say we did all the wrong things.

not sure we "folded" but ok

bama fans are somethign else. I'm sure it was saban's master plan strategy to get down by 13 before unleashign the REAL game plan. We sure fell for it.

In only his 2nd year as a head coach he won the SEC, won the Rose bowl, and made it to overtime of the national title game you dumfrick. In Saban's second season he barely went .500 and lost the independence bowl. Man he probably had a bleak future ahead according to you.

Once the NCAA cutout all those county Newbraska booster clubs from paying for a walkon to attend then Tom and the Husker started fading.

Don't see how you figure that...Tom retired after winning 3 national championships in 4 years...the Huskers may have faded afterwards but, as a coach, Osborne never did...
