It's exactly what you said. Here is the direct quote:
King Nick handicapped himself
That doesn't mean it was on PURPOSE
We were handicapped at various points in the season with Hurts. That doesn't mean it was done intentionally. Tua is by far the better passer and playmaker.

Crazy that Saban couldn't see that beforehand.

Yes it does. It at least insinuates he did it on purpose.
When you handicap yourself you purposely give yourself a disadvantage.

If Saban knew that Tua was the better player and kept putting Hurts out there, then he certainly is doing it on purpose. He sets the lineup, does he not?

You're saying saban saw hurts every game and every practice all season then accidentally started him in the NCG by mistake?
Man you've been piling on saban a lot here lately. Sounds like you're calling the guy an idiot tbh

Y’all still had a clear advantage across the whole roster
No. We won with a bunch of True Freshman many of whom didn't get much if any significant playing time during the year.

what you claim as a huge advantage in coaching.
We know Saban > than Kirby but the true problem for you (and will continue to be) is Jim Chaney. He is awful.

Bama should have never had to resort to the backup up with such big advantages.
I don't think the game would have been close had Tua started. In fact I don't think we would have had a close game all year had he been the QB the whole season but he wasn't. Just like if my Aunt had a cock she would be my uncle. Also just like had Kirby and Chaney not done such a horrible job in that 2nd half you would have a National Championship trophy since 1980. But you don't.

Are you questioning your head coaches decision to have hurts as your starting qb?
Yes. So have many other Alabama fans. No coach is perfect or infallible. The problem isn't a Coaches decision it is when they won't make a change to fix the problem. Saban was willing to fix it and hence we got 26-23 and another National Championship trophy to go with all the others.

Seems you want to shift the conversation?

That isn't what I am saying. You WANT me to be saying that though. Hurts has his liabilities. Auburn, Washington, Clemson, and Georgia were able to expose them. A change was made. We won the NC with a kid that had no meaningful game experience. That is actually praising Saban not criticizing him.

Nope. He is very stubborn and set in his ways and doesn't like 'change'. There are a lot of coaches in various sports like this. The ones that are willing to adapt are still very successful though.

So if I get in a car wreck and become paralyzed it was on purpose? You think I would have handicapped myself on purpose? Are you retarded?

Tua threw 77 passes for 11 TD. To say he had no meaningful game experience is dishonest. Our second string QB threw 7 passes.

So y’all had a bunch of 5 star freshmen to play with a bunch of 5 star seniors, juniors, and sophomores on your team. Duh. Thanks for proving my point.
Point remains, bama should have been well ahead of uga without having to put the backup qb in. Y’all should have never had to resort to such desperation with a loaded roster and the best coach ever.

Dude. he started Jalen Hurts on purpose. if you drive your car into a wall while aiming it at the way, then that is on purpose.
Anyway you slice it, if Saban saw Jalen Hurts and Tua practice every day, and if he knew Tua was the better QB, yet started Jalen Hurts anyway, then he did it on purpose.

That would only be handicapping yourself if you got into that car wreck on purpose. If the car wreck was an accident, it would just be becoming handicapped.

Do you watch sports?
I can give you 100's of examples of coaches going with a more experienced player despite having a better younger less experienced player on the bench. That is what coaches do. It is the coaches that never make a change then it becomes a problem. I suspect you will find this out very fast this coming season. Just a hunch.
