Maybe I missed something? I haven't been around as much. Who is claiming that Kirby is replacing Saban?
I agree with you. Saban is unique and has done things that has never been done before and likely will never be done again.

our rivals.
They claim that we claim it all the time.

Kirby is copying Saban's preparation and it will help him structure Georgias practices and methods but Kirby isn't the transitional thinker Saban is - nor will he ever be.
Not sure why you posted this thread. What's to say Kirby can't think terms of chess? People said similar things in comparison to Saban and Dabo. Dabo out- coached Saban in 2016. I mean Saban is still the GOAT but you have to remember that every dog eventually has his day.

Bc he's an idiot. I truly doubt that we will ever see another era/run again in history like what saban has done at bama. It would be nearly impossible. So nobody thinks we're going to even come close to replicating it, but I don't see any reason why we can't potentially win a title or 2 over the next 15 or so years.
It's also funny that people want to continually point out how much better of a coach saban is than kirby...uh no shite. Saban started coaching small time to get his feet wet, went to a big boy school for a few years, went to LSU, went to the NFL, and is now at bama.......while kirby is in his 2nd year ever as a head coach.

Get real. You got crushed by 3 TDs in the second half of the most important College Football game Georgia has played in 37 years.
The second half finished 26-10 in scoring. How is that 3 TD's again? (By the way, that includes OT.)
quote:Ah! Another Tennessee alter posing as an Alabama fan to troll Georgia fans.
Jeremy Pruitt is a much better coach than Kirby. Pruitt will have to win with inferior talent for a few years but he will outcoach Kirby in every contest - win or lose.

The irony of the internet is that access to an absurd wealth of information seems to cause people to lose all sense of perspective.

Kirby is in great position at UGA. He will not have to work as hard to get great talent at Athens as Nick does at Bama.
This is possibly true. If Kirby continues to win.
quote:This is 100% true. Complacency kills coaches and players. It is far too easy to become complacent. To me, that is the most amazing aspect of what Saban has done. He has managed to keep the fire burning in himself and in his staff and players. That makes him the GOAT more than anything in my mind.
We'll see how well Kirby can manage a program not that they are near the top. Entitlement might be just as hard to manage as having less talent. We'll see.

Once the NCAA cutout all those county Newbraska booster clubs from paying for a walkon to attend then Tom and the Husker started fading.

You can keep saying this all you want it won't make it True. You had a Senior laden team and lost to a bunch of True Freshman. Coaching lost you that game. Not talent.
The facts show Bama had a lot more talent than UGA, so how on earth was the game so close?

The officials gave the gumps that game!
We had our opportunities and didn't take advantage of them. There were bad calls on both sides of the ball. I won't take anything away from Alabama or belittle their Championship. They earned it. Hopefully we will get one soon.

Very true and Saban more than likely will go down as one of the best ever if not the best but we can all agree that he plays the system better than anyone in college football!

Alabama averaged 9.9 YPP after Tua entered the game. Georgia got smoked in the second half.

Why are Bama fans so insecure? I don’t get it. I love UGA, but it’s just football.

We outscored you by 13 in the first half.
You outscored us by 13 in the second half.
You outscored us by 3 in overtime.
The way bama fans describe you'd think we got routed by 30 or something.

If all in your OP is true, how did Saban and Bama's talent advantage get outcoached and outplayed in the first half?
Why did it take OT to pull out the win? I mean with such a HUGE disparity and not even close type of coaching and talent.

Please, not even coach!!! Smart is a football coach . Saban is a legend! One of the best coaches ever!
