Why don't you go add up all conference games and get back to us.

You can't seriously think that getting a few OOC games at night against North Texas and Louisiana Tech is what we're talking about here.

We've got traditions, you've got traditions...it's not like every tradition goes by the wayside. We get some night games (except for 1 year) and you get your precious little games. No harm no foul.

But you've got 2 new teams to think about. It's not the old SEC. The issue is scheduling. Its just your traditions revolve around the schedule...and you don't want to let that go. I get that...but Whether we rotate fairly, or add an extra conference game, to allow for a fair rotation of cross division opponents, the scheduling is moving in a more fair direction.

I do not care where it goes as long as we get to pay AU and TN every year. I love playing LSU, they are the third on that list that I would like to play every year. But if I had to pick one of the three to drop it would be LSU without a thought.

And not because you are a good team.

This thread is about protecting SEC traditions through scheduling and our collective dealings with the networks. OOC games do not enter into that.

Fine, counting just SEC games:

2003: 1 night game. 3 CBS games.
2004: 3 night games. 1 "other" game.
2005: 2 night games. 2 CBS games.
2006: 3 night games. 1 "other" game.
2007: 2 night games. 2 CBS games.
2008: 1 night game. 3 CBS games.
2009: 4 night games.
2010: 1 night game. 3 CBS games.
2011: 3 CBS games. 1 "other" game.
2012: 3 night games. 1 CBS game.

Out of 40 SEC games, 23 night games, 14 CBS primetime games and 3 "other" games.

58% of games played at night.
35% of games deemed #1 that weekend by CBS.
7% of games were played during the day.

93% of your home games played in Baton Rouge were played at night or chosen by CBS as the #1 game that weekend.

And that's fine...as long as you're willing to give up a home game every other year in a 9 game schedule format.

Would playing UGA in 58% of seasons be enough for you?

If you do not want CBS money, then refuse to play in their time slot and schedule at night.

2 guaranteed, as in the bare minimum. This would lead to most years actually getting 3 or all 4.

I can live with 75% and breaking our tradition for the good of the conference the other 25% of the time
