While I will agree that the majority of our fanbase is composed of self-absorbed redneck retards, this wasn't about being spoiled and self-sabotage.

Tennessee fans are extremely passionate and are fed up with mediocrity. With the past 2 hires, we were willing to wait out the storm and rebuild. It is now clear that the administration serves as puppets for the dipshit Haslam family, and that neither could give a rat's arse about the students or fans.

Utilizing social media as a platform, we are using our power as paying customers to have our voices be heard, and to tell the admin that we won't put up with this incompetence any longer.

I fully support your rights to speak out as you all have.

I also respect the fact there are consequences of doing so. Your consequences are that no coach worth a damn will coach at TN.

When the last Autumn moon and the sun can be seen together in the sky, we call that Doeren's Day.

Nobody will say yes because we are not the program we were 10 years ago, yet the pressure of the job is still on par with that of the upper-tier SEC schools.

We are not the program we were 10 years ago because of incompetence at the administrative level.

I will agree with you on the problems within the administration. I am surprised the Admin didn't have a coach already ready to come to UT. It's not like Butch was knocking it out of the park for the past 3-4 years. The buyout amount for a coach like Butch shows a real problem. College football needs a reset in the HC salary and buyout department. NO coach should have a buyout of more than 4 million from day one. Pay more in salary per year if needed.

Seriously though, how is he still being compensated? UT literally disgusts me...and I feel bad for your program. A Kentucky fan...feel...bad...for UT?

I remember when USC hire Pete Carroll aside from being like their plan F, fans were pretty underwhelmed. Lucky for them they didn’t have Twitter and message boards back then.

I’ll admit Schiano doesn’t sound like the sexy, splash hire but if you look at his record at Rutgers beyond the lazy he was 68-67. He did wonders there. A lot of good college coaches failed in the NFL but have learned things there and he’s working for Urban Meyer. He may have done well there.

Tennessee and Texas A&M have the same problem. Their fans think they are better than they are.

UT just went 0-8 in the SEC and has had five coaches in the last 12 years. They have lost their national prominence and ability to recruit nationally in the social media era.

Texas A&M just fired a coach that went 51-25 in the toughest division in college football to hire a coach that is going to end up 6-6 this season at the EASIEST JOB IN COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

The stupidity in this conference baffles me.

It wasn't just the notion that Schiano would've been mediocre from a purely football standpoint. The dude is known to be a pompous, insufferable POS who is a dick just to be a dick. Penn State clout aside, the fanbase would never have embraced him from day 1.

You are not the program you were 10 years ago because you went an fired Phil Fulmer. That's where your downhill slide started.

Vols fans are a sorry excuse.

You don't dictate who gets hired, you deal with it.

All of these stupid arse millennials with twitter accounts thinking that their input matters need to STFU.

but we didnt deal with it we fought it and we won

so what if it set us back? We haven't exactly been winning much lately and Schiano was NOT going to beat Kirby Mullen or Saban.
