This isn't necessarily directed at you ... but why do people make baseless statements like this?
It's the same as when folks say, "the NCAA will never again issue the death penalty," or "Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have to stay bound to each other."
Things get repeated enough, and people believe 'em.
Just bc something hasn't occurred thus far, doesn't mean it won't in the future.
I'm certainly not saying Ole Miss would be given the boot; but if even half of the nastiest accusations are found to be true, the SEC powers that be aren't going to base their actions on the fact that Mississippi happens to have been around for awhile.
Bottom line: No one has a clue what would happen.

Quality commentary right there, folks.

Rape isn't class A? Sexual abuse isn't Class A?
I'm asking because I don't know
I posted the different SOLs in another thread. Aggravated rape has a 25 year SOL. Freeze wasn't accused of this. Statutory Rape in 2004 had a SOL of charging by the victim's 21st birthday. Sexual Assault had a SOL of like 4 years as well. Many of these laws have since change and SOLs extended, but even if he was bound by the laws as written today, the SOL still would have passed for all of them. The SOL has also passed for him in a civil suit for the same.

Aggravated Rape is Class A (15 Year statute)
Rape is Class B (8 year statute)
What he is being accused of would likely fall under "Sexual Battery by an authority figure" which is a Class C felony in Tennessee, with a 4 year statute.

Correct. If point shaving is true, I doubt the SEC really gives a frick if they're a founding member.

Where did I claim fact?
Everything I posted was opinion-based.

Yeah man, Tennessee sucks.
But don't worry, so does the rest of the South.

So why don't you engage the guy and form an argument and actually add something to the board, instead of posting stupid shite like this:

If they can't field a football team?
What good would they be to the league?

Form an argument of a dumbass op? I'm good

Come on what?
Which part?
I think it's rather unlikely that anyone other than players were involved in a point shaving incident, if in fact there was one.

Then why waste your time with this thread at all? Just gtfo? Wouldn't that be much easier?

I would say this if it were any team but my own.
The NCAA needs to make an example of cheaters and reel back in the corruption surrounding college sports NOW. It is impacting people's interest.
College football needs to chill the frick out and get back to being about college.

They aren't getting kicked out of the conference. Jesus Christ some of you need to join the real world. Just laugh at their misery. It's bad enough as it is, no reason to be superfluous
