Yeah but any coach worth looking at will sign a big money extension this year.

I gotta think that the school that really screwed this up, in that they might be farther down the pecking order than they think and the fact that "one more bad year" wasnt likely to even be that bad for them is Penn State, but they were the ones that jumped off the high dive first.

I actually think it might be a now or never situation.

I think some schools who otherwise wouldn't have went for a first time HC, current coordinator hire are going to be forced into it, and in some cases they will end up happy they did.

The guys who have been building a resume for a while are probably going to get jobs this year. So if you delay and do it next year, even if you're the only job you might be stuck choosing from a bunch of guys who blew up onto the coaching scene in the past year or two.
