No sense in arguing with him this morning. He has already stated that Mississippi State is one of the top jobs in the country and that they would outbid any of tBigSix and other mega programs (such as Ohio State and Texas) for Mullen.

And MaroonNation is full of shite (per usual) about it being OM fans starting all of the Mullen rumors about being disliked in the state of Florida. It's been nothing but Florida posters pointing those things out.
And the Miami incident came straight from Miami

How many times do I need to explain it to you before you understand it? The fact that you have no comprehension of what I'm talking about already proves you don't have a damn clue about MSU athletics.
You ever stop to wonder why our careful, calculated AD confidently puffs his chest out when stating this publicly about 50 times? Probably not huh.

Y'all certainly have the money to play around with whoever you want if you want to keep him bad enough. I'm not trying to argue Mullen will leave or not because I don't care either way. I just don't think you should use sloppy filler points to make yourself look better.
Just say you have money now and be done with it.

maybe but Tiger Rantards are a different kind of dumb almost as bad as Tidefans. I trolled that place during the Saban and Tejas fling and I thought they would track down my IP address and kill me or my trees

like granny always said, you can't trust new money.

Kinda like the OM bullshite linking him to every job in the country?
"Mullen is leaving the first chance he gets!!1!1!1" to "Mullen sux, I hope he stays foreVar" to "Mullen is out of there any minute!1!1"
Make up your damn mind.
Mississippi State will NEVER lose a head coach over money. Bookmark it, write it down, add it to your permanent memory, and be sure to let me know when someone pays the $10mil/yr it would take to prove me wrong.

I'm not going to argue that OM fans have started bullshite rumors about him.
I'm calling out MaroonNation for stating ALL of these rumors originate in Oxford. You'd be hard pressed to find a single Florida fan to say anything positive about him.

That's actually not what I said at all -- but color me unsurprised that you can't read and are twisting my statements to fit your preconceived agenda.

We've had earmarked money to keep any head coach we wanted to keep for a decade now or thereabouts. The topic has been beaten to death already.

engie's statements, 09/24/2014
quote:
State is one of the better jobs in the country (as it's currently configured)
quote:
Can and will pay with anyone (when referring to State's ability to outbid other suits for Mullen's services)
quote:
On head coach money? No (add some context and check the exact post: engie said Mississippi State could outbid (1) Texas, (2) Ohio State, (3) Texas A&M, (4) Florida, (5) Alabama, and (6) Auburn, specifically, for a particular head coach's services
Go ahead and spin it.

So you admit conveniently skewing words to change the statements entirely from what they actually were?
PS: When quoting someone -- adding your implied meaning inside the quote does nothing but skull frick your whole agenda.

These are direct quotes.

Please tell me what you really meant when you said these two, conclusory statements. Both of those statements are conclusory and straightforward and don't require many inferences or assumptions to figure out the context in which they were given.
This is response posted by HJJ, and following that is your response, to prove to you that I am not creating the context.
quote:
Texas, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and many others could beat you on the money front Engie dear.
quote:
On head coach money? No.
There's the context you wanted.
Now, please say what you meant when you responded that (1) Texas, (2) Ohio State, (3) Texas A&M, (4) Florida, (5) Alabama, (6) Auburn could not out bid Mississippi State for a particular head coach.

Speaking of coaches salaries:
Bielema 5,158,863
holy shite
Butch Jones 4,860,000
only saban is higher. WTF?
BTW, Mullen is 2.7 ranks 23rd.(9th in SEC) Same as Jimbo and Will Muschamp and the saem ball park as Pelini, Snyder, Pinkel, Holgorsen,

Where did you see Bielema and Jones at those numbers? The links I saw had them making 3.2 and 3. I know Sumlin makes 5

We're 4 games in and this is like the 2011 offseason already.
If Mullen leaves, it'll be within the SEC. Plus, he's cocky enough to stay here and put his name on this program. He's stated this countless times.
I know coaches leave like a thief in the night, but he's had chances outside conference.

I kind of feel like if Mullen wanted to go, he would have left after the 2010 season. I am constantly wrong about these things though.
