Perhaps Booby should have suspended him a few games to show RM that he wants him sober and able to read defenses.
Remember, the Packers kept Flynn and released Brohmn saying Matt was more NFL ready. Which one did Booby coach?
this.
He just kept Mallett in there telling him to start slinging it all over the field.

Sure, why not? Tell me how he's a better QB coach than Nutt is... Prove it with solid numbers...
No.
I don't think that is necessary in this obvious case of flammage. Gimme a frickin break

That's your opinion and I will stick with mine that the success of a coach isn't defined as what the player does post college.

Tell us how Booby let RM fall from first to third round. With Booby's reputation, why aren't top QBs flocking to Arky?

You know why this happened like everyone else, and it has nothing to do with Petrino's coaching.
Did you watch the Gruden camp clips? Gruden was thouroughly impressed with the depth of the one play Mallet drew up. Can you imagine what one of Nutts plays on the whiteboard would look like?

Did I say anything about how they did in the NFL? I was responding to a question about why he was a good QB coach. He coached them up well enough to get them drafted. How they do from there is not a concern of his college coach imo.

but the NFL draft is post-college. There was a good 3-4 months between his last collegiate game and the draft.

Nutt doesn't get the rep of being a QB killer because of bad QB play. He gets it because he has a revolving door at QB, no depth and probably has higher QB turnover than any other coach in the SEC.
Also, how many different QB coaches or OC have you had in the 3, coming on 4, seasons he has been there??
His last 4 years at AR he had 4 different QB coaches and 4 different OC. And it's not because they were moving on to "better" jobs.
Tell me you see the pattern here...

Right. He was a good enough QB coach at the college level to get them to their goal of being drafted. What they do from their isn't on the college coach imo.
Do you think in a recruiting conversation Petrino isn't going to say he got three QB's drafted in his 7 years coaching just because two of the three have flopped in the NFL? I wouldn't expect any college HC to do that.
