Kelly has been there long enough to realize that at LSU he doesn't want any comparison to his time spent at Notre Dame. These days, Kelly can't run the ball and his defenses, I mean, they look like Swiss cheese. That's just not the way he coached in South Bend.

All of his "major bowl games" were vs better teams with better coaches.
Fat Josh's win was over a two loss Clemson team with Fat Josh's best team ever.

Agreed. Kelly can only win with more talent. He is almost never the best coach on the sidelines.

You don't fire a coach in year 2 during the wild west insanity going on in the landscape of the sport. You show stability. It sends the message to any next coach that we will fire your arse if you don't replace the GOAT immmmmmeediately. That is a tall order for anyone with how stupid the sport has gotten lately.
