this schedule really is embarrassing

UT Martin
Ball State
South Carolina
UAB
Auburn
Kentucky
Vanderbilt

Only team on there thats not a complete disgrace is Kentucky, and their claim to fame is beating a dysfunctional Florida team. Its objectively a pretty awful schedule so far, and georgia has struggled against it

I don’t understand why Tennessee and Ga were told to cancel games with Texas and Oklahoma but Bama was given the OK

Could be neither team could find a replacement.

I don’t understand it either. Should of played. I was looking forward to that game when it was scheduled. No reason the sec told Georgia to cancel.

They were forced because the home and home series couldn't be completed before the teams joined the league.

And no, big games are scheduled 3+ years out so replacements were always going to be payday games.

Ideally it would have been replaced with a neutral site game between the same teams, but I'm guessing it takes a bit of lead time to schedule a venue, and the two teams would need to agree on it.

UGA might have wanted Atlanta while OU pushed for Dallas.
