Here is how high the bar is in Alabama. How long has it been since an Alabama head coach has lost 4 or more games in consecutive seasons? Hell...how many times has it happened under one coach in the history of Alabama football?

First question - Mike Shula (03-04) lost 9 and 6 games. Nobody (meaning Saban) has lost more than 2 in back to back seasons since then. So, if DeBoar loses just 4 games...it will be the first time that has happened in 20 years.

Second question...how many times? 6 times...only 6 times in the over 120 year history of Alabama football has a head coach lost 4 or more games in back-to-back seasons.

Shula (03-04) - 1
DuBose - (97-98) - 1
Perkins - (83-84) - 1
Bryant - (69-70) - 1
Wentworth - (55-56) (56-57) - 2

That is a lot of expectation to live up to.
