It isn't just this board. Most are hearing it on call-in shows or seeing it on facebook and such. In a normal year, AU fans would give a full throated SEC chant. Just don't see it happening this year, at all.

If bama fans or at least a significant portion were pulling for us, then yes, I am fine with it.

Not the case though and bama fans have fanned the Cam flames more than anyone. That is while I feel the need to constantly point out bama is about as far from being a clean program as any team in the SEC. Not to mention the massive oversigning which also gives the SEC a black eye nationally.

I would have been if not for this board. Everyone has hopped on the "Auburn cheats" bandwagon, even though there's no evidence or even A CLAIM that we did. How exactly has Auburn cheated, SEC fans? By taking a player who might/might not have known about his FATHER shopping him to ANOTHER school? A situation that we, as mere fans, have relatively very little knowledge about.

Why should we honor the people who threw us under the bus when we were under national scrutiny? Why should we share our moment in the spotlight we were denied THREE times (1983, 1992, 2004) with people who have expressed nothing but hatred for us, even when we gave nothing but our full support when THEY had the big stage.

This is OUR time, we were laughed at and ridiculed when Chizik was hired. We went from being 5-7 to 13-0 and one of the worst offenses in the nation to one of the very best in TWO YEARS. We were mocked for our recruiting stunts and then we got us the 4th best recruiting class in the country. You would think that some people would be humbled by just how wrong they were, but all I have heard is:

"it all goes downhill when Malzahn leaves,"

"7-5 next year"

"cheaters"

"I don't want Auburn representing the SEC"

NOWHERE have i seen the same credit or praise given to the past four SEC champions given to Auburn. Thats fine. I don't mind it being us against the world. But when we win, don't expect us to share the spotlight. We're gonna celebrate this alone, just the way everyone else left us.
