get?

Is Tubberville after a bonus from Auburn for winning a NC? Is that part of his motivation for pushing so hard to award Auburn the title?

I would love to see him get a little more cash from Auburn. That would chap some arse.

sorry if germans, but i didn't want to bump up an old thread.

Yes, it is Germans.

And Tuberville was paid the bonus in 2004 anyway.

I think he already got a bonus for that season.

I get the feeling it's not an issue considering they bought out his contract and settled already.

Don't you guys have a bonus for actually winning the championship, not the bonus yall give for coming close?

I would say something smart assed like you'll never win one if you keep giving the bonus for coming close, but.....

The fine print in his contract probably says something like bonus for.... "winning the BCS national championship game". Since Auburn didn't do that, he probably wouldn't get any bonus.

That's in my uneducated opinion of course.

He did have a NC bonus, but because of all the hoopla around them not being able to play he was paid anyways. He was then going to use a large chunk of that to pay for the "rings" out of his pocket but AU stepped up and covered that as well

You guys aren't listening... he was PAID that bonus.

The Auburn administration that Tuberville so despised and worked against stepped up and PAID him that bonus anyway because they thought he deserved it.

Paid or not, he would be put in an elite group of coaches to win a BCS championship. That's more than likely what he wants.

Damn that is just like one big O happy fambly.

Tubby could work it baby. Him and Sexton knew how to get into the Fambly's cookie jar.

more importantly, would his contract have been re-done with more money per year making it harder to buy him out? what would Auburn look like now?

Tubbs was a good coach for you guys. I'm 48 and he's maybe the best ya'll have had in my lifetime.

Chiz impressed me when I met him, but I don't know how much he had to do with your NC.
