I've seen the most filthy vile BS on this site and nothing happens to posters.

Yet I am just playing around and offering to spank myself if my prediction is wrong. If fun is not allowed, I wouldn't cry over it anyway.

Yes, that's clearly what it was about rather than the post I was responding to asking rhetorically if A&M won the SEC it's first year.

Glad you cleared that up because it sounded like a heapin helpin of excuses about how aTm got lucky when they beat you.

frick no. They beat Alabama because Manzel had lucky plays like fumbling the ball and having it bounce in his hands just long enough to make defenders freeze so he could throw a TD and a combination of backyard bullshite. AJ threw 2 of the 3 interceptions he had all year in that game.

That was no fluke. Look at 2013. That team would give Bama hell 100 times out of 100.

They did get lucky. That's football.

If you want to be upset about them getting lucky, be my guest. I'm just never going to pretend like that team was anything special. They played an easy schedule and were generally trash against good teams.

We lost to UF and LSU by a combined total of 9 points. We beat the shite out of OU in the Cotton Bowl and had a Heisman trophy QB + one of the best TEs in the history of the game.

I can't believe you're hung up over a loss that took place 13 years ago...which was also the year Bama won the natty!

Yes it was. That A&M team played a soft as shite schedule and lost to the good teams it played, with the exception of Alabama. Where your QB literally fumbles the ball, has it pop right back into his hands to throw a TD etc. Your defense really won that game, but all anyone talks about is how great Manziel is. As if he purposely bounced the ball off the ground making the defense react so he could throw to an open guy. No, that's fricking lucky.

The rest of the year, A&M padded the shite out of easier opponents while leaving Manziel in for "game experience" to do so. Your schedules were such shite, the SEC had to make rules so you would do what other SEC teams did already and start scheduling P5 OOC.

Manziel was very good at being slippery and playing backyard bullshite. A style that relies heavily on luck. Of which is increased heavily when you can throw the ball up to a guy who can be triple teamed and still jump over all of them.

Most unsurprising bust in NFL history.

Just because I don't go along with the bullshite ESPN narratives you all eat up doesn't mean I'm "hung up" on it.

You can believe what you want about the game, I know what I saw and don't need ESPN to tell me what it is. A&M scored early a few times to get a lead, and hung on with defense.

Heisman trophy is a joke, and he won that because of the Alabama game where again according to the narrative, he purposely bounced a ball off the ground and threw it for a TD which makes him an awesome QB.

But sure, the "most outstanding player" in the country just happens to be an offensive player 99% of the time and it has nothing at all to do with the fact the majority of people don't understand shite about defense.

Congrats to those who win it, but it's called the hypesman for a reason. That's what A&M was, all hype.

Let go of the anger and hate, man. It will eat you away, and football is so not worth it.

Because of your defense, not your offense. As I said, your defense is what also beat Alabama, and yet it gets 0 credit.

You said us beating Bama was a fluke.

Year one: 29-24, A&M

Year two: 49-42, Bama.

Common denominator in those two game styles (average scoring vs shootout)?

Manziel, Sumlin, Evans, etc.

No, it was mostly against FCS teams(they played 2 at least that year) along with a bunch of other cupcakes where they let Manziel play the entire game for "game experience". And of course, you had some SEC west teams that were in struggle mode like Arkansas who was being coached by John L Smith. Put up 60+ against Auburn and Chizik's last year, etc.

Against the better defenses, they struggled to score.

Good grief you’re nuts

The very next year he did this against Bama

quote:

464 passing yards, five TDs with 98 rushing yards – a total of 562 yards.

It was a fluke, you losing the next year doesn't say otherwise.

AJ threw 3 interceptions the entire year. 2 of them in that game. You had balls bouncing into the arms of people, and you benefited from an early scores and an Alabama turnover.

In the next 2 quarters you were shut down as was the norm for A&M against good defenses.

Alabama turned the ball over AGAIN to start the 4th with a fumble, which lead to A&M scoring their last TD on some quick strikes. And then the game was basically sealed when Alabama turned the ball over again with another interception near your goal line.

Just like Ole Miss in 2015. Alabama had 5 turnovers and Ole Miss had a bunch of luck with shite like balls bouncing off helmets for TDs etc. That's football and shite happens, but only foolish people think it wasn't luck.

It's football and shite happens, but don't expect me to pretend like it was because A&M was this great football team.

Those are not the same teams. I know you aren't an LSU fan, but that's like me claiming 2019 LSU wasn't shite because of how they played in 2020 or that they were great in 2018 because they won a championship in 2019. Nonsense.

Besides, 2013 was just a bunch more backyard bullshite while throwing up the ball to Mike Evans. It was even worse than 2012 in that regard. The majority of throws Manziel makes are the kind of throws good QB's are taught NOT to make.

Which is why he was a shite NFL QB. Backyard bullshite and luck didn't work.

OK, if that's how you feel, that's how you feel. You're not going to change my mind or the millions of non-Aggie minds how think you're wrong, but I won't argue with you.
