Now that their best players are leaving or decommitting, bigger brand programs from the B12 are joining and most programs in the conference seem to be on the upswing, how bad will it get? The Vanderbilt of the West?

Their dire straits situation shows they’ve been lying all along about having “unlimited resources”. It’s false, they can’t afford firing Fisher alone, much less have enough to pay another staff. They are stuck with Fisher for at least 3 more years, probably more.

Their window is closed. They'll play spoiler every now and then to better programs but largely will remain irrelevant. Same as it ever was.

Their biggest window was in 2013. They were the only TX school in the SEC (at the time seemingly indefinitely) and made a lot of noise with Johnny Football in 2012. Of course, compared to the current shite show 2013 seems like a dream season, but that was their time to really make a move.

Unfortunately when you build a culture on plastic cups, posturing and blank trophies expectations are impossible to handle.
