I have trouble watching today’s product because they try to play like men. In Pat Summit’s era, you saw way more old school fundamental basketball in high level women’s basketball than you did in the average men’s game. If you were enough of a basketball fan to appreciate that kind of play for what it was, it was absolutely watchable. YMMV of course.

If you live to be Geno’s age you will have created probably 30,000 threads (in spite of intermittent well deserved suspensions).
How embarrassing when a guy coming up on an even 70,000 posts tells another dude to post less... and everyone agrees with him.

I actually sat behind Pat Summit and a short interaction with her was very pleasant.
None of this happened.

Summit is the more important figure historically because of everything she did to help grow the game when it was basically nonexistent. Auriemma is the better coach. 12 titles speaks for itself, and he was 4-0 in title games against Summit.
And I believe Geno has 12 additional Final Four appearances, on top of the of the 12 titles.

Why are so many of you too fricking stupid to know the difference between threads and posts?

I covered major college sports for two decades and the only person I ever encountered who had the same kind of aura and presence as Pat Summit when she walked into a room was Paul Bryant.
Legit observation
Might add Rupp and Neyland
While Pat went far too young, I probably put Neyland over both Bryant and Saban if he had a full and uninterrupted career.
As for a female audience only in the South I would only put 2 men in the rare air of affect on the female sex. Elvis and Clinton.
