Now, be mad at Long for using our football program to help a friend out who he knew was in financial distress. That's all this contract was about. He used his position to put money in a friends pocket, and painted a pretty picture to hide it from hog fans.

So you're saying the Fraternity suddenly made a rule about pot? Could it be that maybe they were following Federal, State, Local, and University laws and policy?

No, if you did what Petrino did, you would be fired. If not fired immediately, when your company found out, they would cut all ties with you to keep them out of legal battles.

Petrino having sex with a young female was not the problem. Him hiring her and putting the states flagship institution at risk for a gigantic lawsuit is what got him fired.

Agree. Should have kept a classless, POS, lying, whoring coach for a classless state and University.

You richly deserve each other.

FWIW, you still would win a championship even with Petrino or his butterface ho!

You're a fricking moron. I tried to think of a better way to say it but I simply couldn't. You're a fricking moron.

We found out that one of the, if not the best coach we've ever had at the university was involved in acts that challenged the integrity of our university and opened us up to lawsuits and because of this we fired him. We fired the one guy who was bringing Arkansas to national relevance. We fired a coach that, just the season before, gave us the best season in decades.

You can sure as hell bet that if Saban, Miles, Spurrier, etc., pulled this shite, it would have been swept under the rug and if it did somehow get out to the public they would have just been given a suspension or a pay cut or something.

If anything, this act shows that the UofA is the EXACT opposite of a "classless state and University". The leadership was willing to piss away our football gains in order to maintain integrity and set the precedence that morals and legality trump winning football games.

So, to put it nicely, frick you good sir.

That being said, I wish Bobby was still here!

Petrino's less than stellar recruiting is why our defense is in the shape it is.
Helluva play caller and game coach. Rest of the skill set for HC is lacking.

So you're in a line of business were it is acceptable to have affairs, hire your mistress, then publicly lie to your superior's about it when caught?

Head coaches hire their own staffs. The HC's hiring decision is approved by the AD, but as the HC's call.

Long had no idea Petrino was sleeping with a hire. At least that's what we are led to believe.

Paul is the inverse of Hootie. He thinks passing on every play is a good idea, while Nutt thought running it down the middle was a good idea. Maybe if the two of them joined up it would equal a semi-balanced offense.
